Our Saturday breakfast experience was disappointing. We had anticipated this meal since its introduction, but the quality was substandard. The eggs were undercooked, seemingly not fresh, and served cold. The brown gravy was excessively thick with flour, and my husband's country chicken was undercooked, exhibiting pink in the center. The coffee creamer appeared curdled. Significant improvements are required in the preparation and presentation of breakfast items.

Best kept cozy secret is out in Big stone gap at The Country Kitchen😍. The employees are always welcoming and friendly when I've stopped in and I love the hallway leading up to the restaurant dine in/eatery area that have some unique and interesting antique decor to see. Food wise, I've had their Chicken and dumplings, meat loaf and thosse stuffed peppers and when I first rolled into town a few years back while rving and decided to call these lush mountains home, I was hooked as their cooking is quite tasty, fair priced and divinely comforting warming my soul. I'm not much of a cook tbh and so in all transparency since my best friend, my beloved Nanny, my grandmother passed on to the heavenly realms roughly 2 years ago Country kitchen meals have been a true comfort to my heart and soul, reminding me of her homecooked food and that feeling of "home" for me personally and it means a lot. I am grateful🙏❤️. Thank you country kitchen friends more than ya know👍😇

We ate here for the first time this week. The menu was surprisingly small. Not much in the meat category. They did have a thick slice bologna sandwich which was very good. What food we had was good. But not having any meat on the menu was a bummer.

Super cool little place with a unique layout & comfy cozy vibe! Their Blackberry tea is of the Lord- and that bacon burger was a BANGER at an impeccable price. Inhaled my burger- and immediately returned for a gallon of the blackberry tea. Staff so so friendly & welcoming! Can’t wait to come back and try more!

We didn’t intend to eat there when we stopped in Big Stone Gap, but when we saw it - we knew it was the place for us. It’s quaint, clean, has a friendly environment, and the prices blew our mind! Two of us are for under $20!!! In 2024 we thought that was a thing of the past. But not here!! We got good service, and the food was delicious. Unbelievable little hidden gem. Highly recommended. 10/10.

What a wonderful surprise! We had chicken and dumplings green beans mashed potatoes blackberry cobbler and a small salad. All of it was absolutely wonderful. We will visit again and we highly recommend this spot to anyone who wants to get a taste of the food of Southwest Virginia.

We LOVED our first visit. We got to chat with Lainey, Mallory & Bobby. The baked chicken was THE BEST! Mashed potatoes so delicious and homemade!! We highly recommend you visit this charming establishment!!
