They won’t price match unless the situation meets their criteria perfectly. Two managers came over to the checkout line to make every effort possible to disapprove my request to price match a kitchen appliance. The price in debate was for only $20. It was disapproved, so I went to Walmart a few miles away and bought the product. The only good deal the exchange has is no tax, but even that is usually not a significant amount, and price matching. This Coast Guard Exchange is already struggling with low sales. They are losing against online retailers. I won’t visit this location anymore.

I love this Exchange! They have ample parking plus two EV charging stations. You get two hours of free charging so you can get charged up while you shop. How cool is that! They are conveniently located in Centreville so depending on what time you head there, it could get congested. If you live in the area and you're a military person, make sure you come by and check them out.

There's a lady by the front door that checks military ID card so be prepared to get asked and show it to them. The staff was really friendly- they all greeted us when we came in. The store still smelled like a brand new store. It was great.

I walked around and checked out their aisles. It's a typical exchange. They were pretty stocked up and everything looked in order and arranged properly. We specifically came here to get a bottle of bourbon for a friend and let me tell you - their selection is amazing. We won't go anywhere else. Probably better than Ft. Myer or Belvoir. They had a HUGE selection of wine, alcohol, beer - you name it. Of course, they were priced a lot lower than your local ABC so we definitely came to the right place. We picked up four different bottles since they were such a great deal! I highly recommend.

The cashier was a trainee but she was very friendly and efficient. She told me about the rewards program so I signed up and also gave me two gift cards worth $10 since I spent over $200. I guess I'm going to have to come back next week 🙂

As I was walking out the building, I realized that the cashier accidentally gave me an extra dollar so I came back around and gave her the dollar back.

Such a great place to do your shopping. I highly recommend!

Great for military ID holders to get liquor at at-cost prices. No childrens clothes, only adult clothes.

Very wide selection of spirits (more than most classVI stores in the area). Regularly get special drops of allocated alcohol, but do not announce it.

I could put up with the RUDE staff and terrible store layout, if the prices were good, but they aren’t any better than other retailers. Definitely not worth the trip.

PSA: This is to anyone who does not know. The CGX is not open to the public. Only Veterans, Active duty or those with a valid Government Service ID including immediate family members are allowed to shop. 100% recommend!

10.26.2024, 1:15 pm - Definitely Not Recommend! - Horrible experience & customer service. Waited in line & cashier & we were next; cashier stated we have to go after the couple behind us. We returned the items and did not purchase anything. Totally biased!
