These guys make their drivers drive in unsafe conditions. It was snowing directly before a shift and after expressing concerns of the weather, they told the driver he had to proceed anyway despite the heavy snow and the driver in a small 2 wheel drive car. On the way back from the route, the roads were closed off and the driver was stuck for 4 hours while caltrans attempted to clear the road. A police officer told the driver that even caltrans was stuck in the snow. This is the THIRD time this has happened. One of these times while the driver was stuck because of a downed tree for 2 hours and Coast ground courier asked the driver to WALK 2 MILES to meet the next driver on the route with the lab samples.

Coast ground courier also made the driver do this route during the major wildfires in California. Their excuse was again, “the roads aren’t closed, you have to do it. There were evacuation precautions set in place for the driver’s residence so there was a major risk that the driver could not make it back to his home. Luckily he made it home safe.

These people have no regard for the safety of their drivers. They would rather risk their drivers driving in extremely hazardous/dangerous weather conditions then notify the vets that their samples would need to be Delivered a day or 2 late.
