It is very difficult to find parking on/near Main Street in Salem. The new road design has taken some of the precious free spots along Main Street. Now I hear there will be a 2 hour limit to downtown public parking making a bad situation worse for business owners, employees, and customers. Salem needs more free downtown parking yesterday.

I am relatively new to Main Street parking and it is definitely an β€œISSUE β€œ in my eyes. This has become a problem for my clients already. As a community and as business owners FREE parking is not just an amenity we offer It because it’s necessary for all of us to run our businesses successfully.

I absolutely love working on Main Street. I have a huge complaint with the amount of parking for myself as a business owner and my patrons. There needs to be more free parking, no paid parking options for my patrons. I run the risk of losing clientele due to the parking issues!

There is ZERO parking for employees or patrons of businesses. We need more free parking. Less OWN TOWED LOTS and LESS 2hr parking.

There are not enough long term parking options for residents on Main Street. Making the street parking only 2 hours is a TERRIBLE idea.

I recently tried to park in Salem, and can I just say, THERE IS NO PARKING. Something needs to be done about public parking! I do not think I need to pay for parking when I'm a patron!

The roads are terrible so if the traffic this is ridiculous, takes one hour to get from one into your little town to the other
