CHEAP CHILAQUILES! I'm so shocked that I got a chilaquiles plate for under $12 dollars! When do you ever see that?!

The food scratched my Mexican breakfast itch, however the presentation and taste was a bit lazy. My overeasy eggs looked borderline burnt and my chilaquiles were a bit too dry. The meal was very spicy, I guess that's why they advertised this. It wasn't bad, just a bit disappointing.
I also purchased pepino water (aka cucumber water) and it was so refreshing for the end of summer.

The service is decent, the lady who was at the register brought my food out to me and the other guests. She also helped a disabled customer which was very sweet. However, she seemed a bit moody like she didn't want to be there. I hope she's okay.

As for the ambiance, it was quiet and everyone was enjoying their meal in peace. They had the TV playing the news which was informative lol.

I was bothered by the bathroom situation, you literally have to insert a quarter to use it! Who carries change anymore? Also, why does this place make people pay to do their business? No thanks.

Castaneda's is still my go-to for late night meals as it's a 24 hour spot and some of the food is actually quite yummy (Carne Asada Fries), however the Mexican breakfast items need an upgrade.

This place has went way downhill. Walked in tonight to get food and it smelled like mildew from the mop that was used. The food quality has went down also. We ordered 4 shredded beef tacos and the shells were over cooked and hardly any meat but plenty of lettuce. We also ordered super chicken nachos. Nothing super about them anymore. The meat was dry, the beans were hard and no cheese or sour cream. It was a waste of $60 won’t be going back here ever again.

This place is TERRIBLE. They know how to charge the order correctly, just not make it correctly. The girl taking my order kept getting everything wrong. This is the 2nd time as we were giving them another try. Not sure how Burrito and taco sound the same, but they messed that up too. Literally go ANYWHERE else for better service.

The food isn’t bad but unfortunately I found a hair in my food. My mother stopped coming here 2 yrs ago because every time she ordered food from here she ALWAYS found a hair in her food. I figured I was close to the restaurant, hungry and it’s been 2 yrs. Nope. Not the case. Found a hair embedded in the lettuce my meal came with. I didn’t bother calling to complain because what could they do? Offer me another meal? No thanks.

I’ve been to this castanedas a few times and it’s decent
I would say better then the one on Florida and probably better then the one in sun city but I don’t like the burritos 🌯 at any of them I strictly come here for the torta and it’s just okay not as good as the one at el ranchito
But what I do like is the drive-thru is fast they get my order right. And they got some really good rice & salsa

Go up
