We hired California Moving Services to move my property from my rental to our newly purchased home. We had some hiccups along the way regarding closing dates and the company worked with us on the timeline, only thing they did right. On the packing day, two men showed up and asked me what it was they were supposed to do. I told them I was informed they would be packing my things and moving them. They said they have never packed before. I provided the boxes and all other packing material. They packed my wine glasses, stem up, on the bottom of a box and placed coffee mugs on the top. They filled the box so full, they tapped the flaps upward, meaning the box could not close. Mutiple cups fell out of the box while it was sitting on my kitchen table because the tap came off the bursting corners of the upward flaps and broke some winery glasses. The movers were never on time, basically grabbed my things in reach and threw them in a box. We were told the $1300 we paid would cover the movers and them putting my furniture, like bed frames back together. Two of the three bedframes are not put together, all yard furniture, large indoor furniture such as my kitchen table and bar are still at the old house, all cushions for my couch, two dressers, smoker, and other things are still in my old house and the business owner, Jaz, will not return our call. We paid $1300 for broken and damaged items, half done job, poor customer service, and now we have to rent a uhaul to move the rest of our property. We thought it would be worth hiring a mover as we are both working swings and graveyard hours and are short on time. I would never hire another moving company thanks to California Moving Services. I also never write reviews but that is how much this company had disappointed me.

If you need some stuff moved but dont generally care about how well it is moved or if they listen to your instructions, then this is the company for you. But if you pay $600 and expect your property to be cared for and stacked as you asked, then i highly recommend looking elsewhere. My disabled elderly client hired them to move her stuff to a storage unit and asked that they leave a walkway (she uses a walker) and to stack certain items in the back of the until and leave important ones easily accessible. I had to go back the day after them to create a walkway, and organize the unit so thay she could get to the stuff she needed. I found fragile boxes stacked under heavy boxes, boxes that were placed sideways, and boxes without lids. Very nice people, but very bad movers.

He has so much energy and passion, which made my order quick and easy. California Moving Services is straight to the point with affordable costs and no gimmicks. They are far better than the other moves!!

Very responsive and helpful with little notice of requested help. Texted me updates and receipts, and asked if they could start earlier when they finished the morning job. Only drawback is a 5-hour minimum payment, since I only needed about 2 and a half hours of work. So $56 / hour turned into about $112 for a total price of $280 for “five hours.”

I am so happy I chose California Moving Services to do my local household move. The owner and office staff were friendly and provided excellent customer service. The stars of the company though are the two moving attendants, Ivan and Bert, who made my move stress free! I had concerns because past experiences with horrible moving companies and I was supervising this solo since the hubs had to work. Ivan and Bert were timely, polite, professional, and above all respectful to me, my wants, and especially my property. I highly recommend California Moving Services for any moving need; and if you choose them, ask for Ivan and Bert 👍🏻!

Was moving across town from an apartment to a house and needed help moving some of the larger furniture.

We contacted California Moving Services and scheduled to 2 people come over and help load a U-Haul up with a couch, a recliner, TV, entertainment center, bed, and several other things. I expected the job to take 3-4 hours and instead it took Tony & Francisco less than 2 hours to load and unload everything in a very professional way.

Could not be happier with how it all went, very grateful we found California Moving Service.
