First time using budget truck rental. I thought it was a bit pricey until I realized that the truck had a hydrolic lift on the back ! I just put my heavy stuff on the lift and pushed a button and boom ! Just slid it off into the back of truck ! This detail was worth it times 10 ! Also very friendly and helpful staff !

I reserved a truck for 12/24/19 at 11:30AM. The morning of my appointment I received a phone call from Budget informing me that they are closing after their last appointment, and asked me if I could come sooner. It being Christmas Eve I understood the desire to want to leave early so I picked up my rental truck after the phone call. I had no problem picking up the truck early. I do have a problem with the fact that the Budget agent negated to inform me that me picking up the truck early will affect the drop off time. My initial drop off time was 11:30AM and was changed to 9:39AM without me being informed. Due to this discrepancy I was charged an extra $207.15 because I dropped off the truck at 11:25 instead of the new time I was unaware of.

To make matters worse the truck had a leak in the cabin. I was driving from California to Las Vegas and it was raining and snowing on the drive so the cabin leaked during the entirety of this storm. I was later told by customer service that I should have called roadside assistance to address the problem as it was occurring. Traffic on the 58 and the I-15 was so awful that even if we called roadside assistance they would not have been able to get to us.

I called Budget customer service to let them know the inconvenience I faced using their company. They're only going to be giving me $110 in compensation, not even paying me the full $207.15 extra charge that I shouldn't have received in the first place. The customer service representative claimed some of the charges I received that make up that $207.15 charge were valid. I understand this paragraph is more of a complaint to corporate, but this situation never would have happened if Clovis Budget Truck Rental would have handled the situation differently.

The next time I relocate I will not be using Budget.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Our truck wasn't topped off(RIGHT under the full line, just not over). The lady was incredibly rude, charged me for the fuel and for a little ding in the windshield that the previous man had marked down before we drove the truck off the lot. She charged my card before even telling me the final amount, when I told her I wasn't going to sign the paper to authorize it she informed me that she had already took the money anyways which is completely illegal. Called in to the main center and they were not AT ALL happy to hear how she was illegally running thieir business and were more than happy to give me my refund. 0 stars for this location but would give 5 stars to their customer service.

Stick with Uhaul. The trucks aren't as nice at Uhaul but if one tiny little thing goes wrong with your truck Budget doesn't know how to handle it. I was on the phone for 2 hours and 38 minutes before I reached someone who told me I couldn't exchange my truck with another one along my route because the AC didn't work. The solution they came up with after all that time was to pull over on the side of I5 and wait 3-4 hours for a service tech to come out and possibly fix it but most likely not. I actually broke down 2 days later and had to wait for a technician. The initial phone call was an improvement at an 1 hour 55 minutes but the service truck took over 5 hours. On the bright side he fixed the AC. I was down 7 hours for that repair and they actually charged me for an additional day. Can you believe that?

Scammers! Do not go here! Rented a truck for a move and they quoted me one price. Confirmed that price with me and then I was later charged almost three hundred dollars more. They told me it was for insurance which I had declined when making the reservation. When I brought up the additional charges before renting they told me it was for a deposit. Never once brought up insurance. Jackie and Jessie lie. Do not waste your time. They denied everything when being confronted after the fact.

I wish i could give zero stars. I was charged much higher than the price I was quoted even though I drove 20 miles less than the quote. The woman working there was awful and rude. She couldn't be bothered to do her own job and God forbid she has to get out of her chair. Horrid woman.

Price was affordable and John worked hard to keep the process moving and kept engaging the customer to ensure they were going to be taken care of. It seemed that everyone walked out with a smile.
