We drove an hour to try their potatoes and they were definitely worth the drive. Hubby had the brisket potato and I had the pork. Best BBQ potato I’ve ever had. They were busy and the employees were running their tails off. This is jewel of a place to eat!

I had the chopped beef sandwich with potato salad and my husband had the brisket wrap and we both ate from a side of sausage. Deliciouso!!! I’d come back just for the banana pudding😋Roby is a tiny town, but this barbecue place is worth the trip😁

If you are looking for great BBQ, look no further than Big Earl's. I have been driving by this place on my way to Lubbock from Anson ever since it first opened. I finally stopped to check it out and I am glad I did. As soon as I opened the door of my car, I knew that I had made the right choice. I only thought I was hungry before a smelled the amazing aroma coming from inside the unassuming little roadside stand. The prices are competitive with other BBQ places I have been too, but that is where the similarity stops. Once I got my order, I knew I would be back.

First off, the portions are more than double what I have gotten at any other BBQ joint I have been to. Other places, you pay a lot and you get a little. Not at Big Earl's. Here I paid a fair price and I got way more than I could eat, and I am 230lb guy with an apatite to match. Everything I got was fresh and delicious.

From where I live it is about the same distance for me to head to Abilene or to Roby for BBQ. I now know exactly which direction to drive when I get that hankering again. I am heading to Big Earl's in Roby.

Wonderful surprise. We stopped at an RV site to spend the night and this place was across the street. It was open on a Sunday evening so we decided to eat dinner there. Every thing we had was delicious. My husband and I had pulled pork sandwiches and we each had a side salad and peach cobbler for desert. It looks like it’s a family run business and everything is made from scratch. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area.

Stopped here to eat today and gotta say I might just move here so I can eat their food! Friendly, gracious and they make some pretty fine BBQ.

Stopped by passing through. Found it to be pretty decent. Got the three meat meal and the highlights were the pulled pork, beans, and banana pudding.
Usually barbecue places don't have good beans or pulled pork but these were excellent. Brisket was a little overcooked but had good flavor. This place is worth checking out
