Amazing trip! We highly recommend Big Butt Charters! We rented two boats (Early Riser & Bait Ball) for our large family which included children and grandparents! Our Captains (Josh and Jordan) were friendly, helpful, considerate and excellent fisherman! They made the trip fun, amazing and successful! We caught so many fish and got to see some wildlife along the way too! Don’t think twice about booking these guys for a fishing trip of a lifetime!!

I did 2 days with this charter service. The first day we did halibut and salmon. The second day we did rock fish and salmon. Both days were fun. Captain Josh is a great host. The second day was especially good fishing as we caught our limit before lunch. Our trip was the second week of September. I would definitely recommend this service to anyone coming to Homer for fishing.

Captain Jordon was AMAZING!! He was very attentive to everyone on the boat! We had an AMAZING day fishing! This was our first time and I was so impressed and had a great time. Captain Jordan knows the spots to fish! His boat was so clean which was very impressive to me! He has all kinds of fishing gear and will spend the time to teach you how to use it. I had no clue how to fish but my husband wanted to do this adventure so I was in. Captain Jordan explained everything to all of us. He showed us how to cast out and made sure we were in the right spot. He had us to rotate positions on the boat to keep our fishing lines from getting tangled. Captain Jordan has been doing this for a very long time and his knowledge of fishing is above and beyond OUTSTANDING. Everyone on the boat caught fish!! So, if you’re reading this to see if this is the Company you want to use then stop reading and book it!! You will have the BEST that HOMER AK has when it comes to a Captain and Fishing! Big Butt Charters I just want to say THANK YOU! To Captain Jordan I want to say YOUR AMAZING, YOUR THE BEST, and THANK YOU for making this a trip of a lifetime! I also LOVED the fact that I was the only girl and caught the biggest halibut of all! First time fishing and caught the biggest halibut on the first try!! Captain Jordan Rocks!!! What an amazing day fishing! My son and I had a fun time and stocked our freezer with fish. Jordan and Sienna were a great crew, this was by far the best charter I have been on out of Homer.

My husband, brother and I had Josh as a captain, 5-28-22, on the early riser and we had an amazing time. Josh is very knowledgeable and showed us an amazing time. He let us do all the work, but was there for us right away when we needed him. I got myself a huge halibut and plenty of rockfish. Highly recommend big butt charters! Thanks for an amazing time out on the alaskan water!

Captain Josh was the perfect Captain. He showed true love for the ocean, was very attentive and accommodating to the passengers. He helped us with fishing technique and was patient teaching us. The boat was clean and wellkempt. The process for cleaning and taking our fish home was efficient, easy and clean. Over all the entire experience on the Early Riser was more than we could have asked for. Captain Josh is a master at his craft. An absolute unforgettable trip. Thank you Captain and we will rebook next time we visit.
