We just bought our first house ( New Build ). Didn't have enough extra money laying around to pay someone to do our backyard and we wanted to get rock and hardscape in before the monsoon season.

Went to a few suppliers and wasn't really impressed with their customer service until we stumbled into AZ Rock Depot. Matt Took the time too look at our sketch and help us understand what materials we would need to make what we had designed. Also the girls in the front were a pleasure to deal with if Matt wasn't around. Super happy with how this project turned out, Thank you AZ Rock Depot!

Update:

After my initial review, Karina reached out to me, genuinely concerned about the dirt in the gravel. She was very professional and offered me either new gravel or a partial refund—I chose the refund. She also assured me that they are implementing quality control measures to prevent this issue in the future. I also offered to remove my review so their business wouldn’t be impacted, but she told me not to bother, saying, ‘It was our mistake, so we own it.’ I really appreciate the honesty and excellent customer service, so I’m updating my review to 5 stars!

I worked with Karina, and she was amazing! If you pay in cash, you might save 3.5%. I ordered Madison Gold riprap and McKenna Gold 1’’. In person, they look different, but what I received appeared the same. Additionally, there was a lot of dirt mixed in with the rock.

Terrible. Poor picture/description of rock on website, that led to wrong color rock. Rock was dumped prior to confirming correct color. Was bounced around to 2 different offices and ended back with who I started. Matt was unhelpful with a very nasty attitude. The best they could offer was delivering more rock. Maybe it would the right color…maybe it wouldn’t. Don’t waste your time with this company.

Rock was not screened. Ordered 4 tons of rock and at least 1 ton was not usable. Use this place at your own risk.

Unfortunately not super happy with our experience. We ordered 12 tons of 1’ white marble. Day of delivery, 30 mins before they delivered they called us and said they only had about 8-9 tons of 1’ and could supplement the other 3-4 tons with 1/2’. We hesitantly agreed. Well we now have probably closer to 8 tons of 1/2’, 2 tons of 1’, and 2 tons of sand… sand. Mind you this is advertised as “screened rock”. It looks horrible. For nearly $2k, this is a waste of money. So disappointed.

Please be wary of this place when buying material. I spoke to them on the phone & got a price for gravel, came in to purchase that gravel, & somehow the cost had gone up $23 a ton. No receipt provided to me & the person up front Jessica is incompetent. She asked to verify if the card was mine when it was HANDED to her? So she just takes payments without properly looking at what shes being handed? She also called me after the order not once, but THREE times to verify my address after it was given to her in person . Clearly not paying attention & said she would send a receipt & it never happened. Called the next day to speak to management who is Matt, super uncaring, lacking professionalism, & never gave a call back like he said he would. Finally hit a resolution after AZ rock depot argued with me on the phone for a while. Save yourself a headache & go elsewhere. 0/10 recommend.

My advice to rock depot if your workers don't know the cost of products dont give customers a quote over the phone. This company seems to want to blame their customers & take 0 responsibility for their terrible customer service & incompetence.

Great prices, great product, if you order minus you get minus, if you order washed you get washed, if you order screened you get screened! If you order five tons you are going to get five tons or a little bit more. Very reputable!! The only problem I have ever had, is the delivery time. I have ordered from them three times in the last year, and I have always requested a morning delivery but my delivery has always come around 3:45 in the afternoon. Instead of asking me, when I would want it delivered, I wish they just told me when it was going to be delivered!! Instead of asking me when I would like it delivered, just tell me when it is going to come!! Tell me if it is going to be delivered between 8:00 and 10:00, 10 and 12:00, 12 and 2:00, or 2 to 4:00. This way I could plan my day around that instead of sitting around all day waiting for a delivery. Other than that, this would have been a five-star review, as I have dealt with Karina and Matt over the last year and they are wonderful. You just need to figure out when things are going to be delivered and tell the customer.

Go-to place for rock deliveries. Good pricing, great communication with store and truck driver, and always works with our company on last-minute order requests. I recommend to everyone!

Hands down best company in QC/STV!

Construction is ever changing and AZ Rock Depot crushed it in squeezing us in on a massive order that Vulcan Materials dropped the ball on.

The office staff and delivery driver were fantastic to work with and we will continue to support the family owned business!!
