Just Picked up this Old Town Sportsmen PBL 106 from Appomattox River Company as a retirement gift to me and could not be any happier with it.

Absolutely great people that helped me with my choice and what I needed with it because this is my first kayak with pedal drive.
And after using it I will never go back to just paddling again.

it was more stable than I would have thought and maneuverable and pretty fast. Can't wait to start fishing out of it now that I have the time to do so.

If you are in the market take the time to drive to there place in Farmville Va. they have the inventory to look at and great people who have Many years of knowledge and very completive prices.

I glade I did.

What a great company! From the beginning of my online order to getting my kayak wet, very satisfied. I called because I wasn't sure when it would ship and it's nice when staff is actually happy to assist and doesn't speak to you like you're a hassle. The youtube videos were very instructive on making sure the kayak arrived in brand new condition. The impression I got from them is they really care and want your kayak to be in brand new condition and they want you to have the best experience. Super happy thanks!

I just wanted to thank you guys for the communication and the brilliant repair job on my boat! I purchased a gorgeous Dagger Code at a great sale price, and APR called to tell me that when they unwrapped it, it has some cosmetic damage from the manufacturer. APR have me options, and I opted to allow them to give me an additional discount and repair it as best they can. When I received the boat the repair was so well done that the original damage was almost undetectable! It will look worse than that after the first day I take it on the water. So I have to give you a shout out! This has been a very good experience for me and I would definitely buy from you again!

This morning (Saturday) was our first time here, and I ended up purchasing an orange nylon hat that was on sale. All prices for canoes and kayaks are online. The website looks very nice and organized. While looking on the kayak and canoe pages, I noticed several of the popular items would be marked Sold Out. Hopefully, these Sold Out items will become available again. Staff people here at Appomattox River Company were friendly and helpful. It was absolutely worthwhile to visit the various store buildings in person to see what the inventory is like!

Virginia is loaded with amazing places to fish, and only a select few places to find great deals on kayaks. The Hampton's-Appomattox River Company is loaded with various kayaks, friendly & educated staff. Most are experienced kayak anglers who will be happy to offer personal advise. Love this store!!!
