I was forced to check my carry-on because the extended space zipper broke. The bag was not full, neither was the overhead space on the Airbus A331. I cannot believe the ridiculousness of not being able to have a carry-on on American Airlines anymore. I had no other bag, had to carry my lithium batteries by hand, a totally illogical policy thanks to this airline's poorly trained personnel and contractors.

If you value your tune or anyone else time. Please don't not use this airline for cargo purposes. Out of all the airline cargo terminals. AA has to be the absolute worst. The average in-out time is about 30 to 45 minutes slower than the others. Totally unacceptable. Most of the staff is professional at their job. But there is a major disconnect. From time of drop-off to getting your receipt. Update: it appears they are getting better at the check-in/ checkout process. Today 8/10/24 was a good experience. Very smooth and clean in out less that 15 mins. Thank you

I was forced to check my carry-on because "overheads were full" so pretty much a 50-year legacy of xmas ornaments are crushed, nevermind having to wait 30 min. on luggage given I NEVER check a bag. Guess what?!? I'm on board and took pics as I walked diwn the aisle. There's room for roughly 25 carry-ons at max size. I went back and they would not let me pick up my bag be the door where mine was collected. WHAT A LOAD OF GARBAGE!!! LIED TO COMPLETELY!!! DISHONEST!!! I will be raving mad when I land and am going to boycott AA and tell every faculty member and student the rest of my life precisely what dishonest dealings deserve. THANK YOU FOR MAKING MY FLIGHT SO MEMORABLE.

My daughter and I arrived ten minutes too late to check in for our flight after driving four hours (the trip should have taken two and a half) in thunderstorms and being delayed by multiple accidents. This was a 21st birthday trip/gift to NYC. To say I was stressed was an understatement. I have never missed a flight. Cyndi at the AA ticket counter was SO helpful, got us booked standby on a flight leaving two hours later, and booked in regular seats on a flight leaving four hours later. She was a lifesaver! We actually made the standby flight and arrived at LaGuardia vs. JFK (where we were set to arrive at on the original flight) which made for an easier commute to our hotel. Thank you American Airlines and especially Cyndi!

Got in as they were closing but I was able to put it in the dock we would use in the morning. Hallway inside was open to bathrooms and a small snack machine.
Loaded several different items. That was as quick and efficient as possible. Friendly nice folks.

I gotta say. I’m torn. I received near excellent customer service today. From the gate agent that took care of me and answered my questions with confidence that I was taken care of, to Awesome flight staff, supper friendly and engaging. Flight crew was very informative about everything that was going on. I get to my destination and my new suitcase is rip up and got some holes and all my pants and underwear are soaked and now smells mildewed! I have no clean pants or underwear for my vacation! What am I supposed to do while going back! I tired submitting a claim about my suitcase but now it’s saying it can’t find my locator info after I type and added all my photos…. the site says I need to go back to the airport to file and retrieve my claim? I’m 2 hours away towards my vacation. Im not about to go to and then back when I have a limited time here with my family !😡 I’m really upset … American… make this right please….
