Outside-The-Box fantastic! Having spoken to over a dozen Outside-The-Box fantastic! Having spoken to over a dozen courier services in the LA area, and being turned down left and right, I was about to give up when I found Almost Anything.
I collect Japanese antiques, and found a great one in LA on Craigslist—the seller, however, insisted on a cash-only transaction, in person. How was I going to put cash in the seller’s hand, and get the item mailed to me? No other courier service in LA wanted anything to do with me, but AA responded—on a Sunday!—and made it all happen, next day. And don’t think the universe didn’t try to quash the deal—I had to make a last-minute change of shippers, but AA wasn’t fazed at all and worked with the seller directly, on my behalf throughout the whole process, which is way above and beyond the call of duty. I offered to pay extra for having caused them to accommodate my last minute changes, but AA wouldn’t even hear of it.
And to top it off, their rates are fantastic.
Personalized, class service all around. (Richard Woods, my runner, was early on the job and sent pictures to document the whole process—A+!) Maybe your courier needs are mainstream and any old service will do, but given the way these folks handled my bizarre, out-of-the-ordinary request, you can be confident that they’ll tackle any issues that might come up for you.
