I had an emergency move because my floors were sinking in my apartment complex! I called Sam the owner of affordable movers and he put me in his schedule quickly! With no hesitation! This is my second time using affordable movers! Sam is very professional! His prices are truly unbeatable! And he has the most pleasant and pleasing peaceful personality anyone could ever have! All my furniture and collectible items are wrapped securely! And Sam is very meticulous about moving your furniture and items so that they will not be broken! I thank you for helping me again! And also Sam's prices are very reasonable!! The best in the Springfield Illinois area! Call affordable movers for all your moving needs! I had a small, in town move, but the awkwardness of stairs and other obstructions, made it difficult. Nonetheless less, Sam stayed within his estimate on time. They went right after it and the move was pretty quick, even with 2 extra stops. They also stayed right on price, but I added the two extra stops, so I gave Sam an extra hundred, but he didn’t ask for it. My furniture was handled with care, as they used blankets to protect during the drive over. They moved pretty quickly, once they got started. The price was very competitive and the service was excellent! If you’re looking for Central Illinois mover, at a good price, give them a call!

One star because Google won’t allow zero. My custom made mattress is completely ruined because they stripped it of its upholstery to carry it upstairs. He tried to convince me that “because there’s a zipper it’s supposed to come off.” No. That is for the manufacturer to get in and adjust coils and foam. Additionally he tried to say it was “probably never actually zipped and I just didn’t notice.” Now I have to spend extra money on having something they broke repaired. His story continuously changed around why it was removed in the first place (mind you, I was THERE and heard/saw it all). They also got a flat tire on the U-Haul which they said they weren’t sure how it happened, but the repairman who came to service it said there was a large gash and it had been curbed. I simply don’t appreciate being gaslit and lied to in addition to my valuables being ruined. When I called to seek resolution regarding the matter the owner continuously spoke over me, was argumentative, combative, and completely irrational. After yelling and refusing to listen to me, he said he would “come to my home and speak to me” which is not only unprofessional but grossly inappropriate. The movers were treated with nothing but respect and kindness (with a large gratuity added to the end of service) and the end result is a torn up custom mattress, dinged dressers, scratched walls, and absolute poor customer service. You’re better off moving yourself.

This is the 2nd time I have utilized Affordable Moving Services and they are fantastic. They are dependable and show up on time and ready to get to work. They are in constant motion until the move is complete. I highly recommend them. You won't be disappointed. They are awesome.

Sam and Rio were most professional but also enjoyable to work with, too. They were eager to move-in my furniture, boxes and other goods with care and to place my belongings in the spaces where I asked them. Most of all, they were careful in handling my entire life belongings. They get "Grade A" rating for my move!

I was very pleased with how quickly Sam was able to do the small job that I had, I called and the next day he was able to come in the morning. I was very impressed because he was able to do the job by himself and was not trying to rush and everything was done the way I told him that I would like he took things from my garage, but also had to replace some totes in the garage and the garage was not close to my apartment. He is a very personable owner of his company, and it was a pleasure to meet him. I will be referring him to others in the future.

Sam and his crew are so good I hired them twice! He help me move in May, 2023 and I hired him again in November to help my parents move. Sam and his crew are very knowledgeable. I hadn't moved in 28 years ago he gave me tips about packing. He is a pro at loading a U Haul! He fills up every nook and cranny! He is very responsive and very professional. He takes really good care of your possessions. He can handle anything, big or small! Highly recommend. Prices very reasonable too.

Best in the business! Sam and TJ were sincere, prompt, courteous, and a absolute blessing to work with. They showed up and showed out! 5 stars for these fellas, from a good Ole Georgia boy that relocated up north.
