Me and my fiancée each used Ace to move from our respective apartments into our new home. The crews were friendly, accommodating, hardworking, and highly professional. They went out of their way to communicate well with us and truly went above and beyond. The price was very reasonable and our quotes were accurate. I would not hesitate to use Ace again in the future.

The pre-move was handled with much detail. They told me what to pack beforehand so I wouldn't be charged more if they boxed it up and labeled each box, bin, and furniture in the room it would go. I could go on the website to change my estimate, and I did. They told me it would take X number of people to move me and take two days, one to place everything on the truck and the next to move me into the new house. They even took my bed to the new home to set it up so we could sleep that night. Asking questions and ensuring they would take the appropriate time frame worked out fine, as I was on a budget and would not want to go over. It was clear that the move went smoother because I had everything organized and labeled. I was impressed that it only took 1/2 a day to unload. The movers were very polite and friendly and took extra care to wrap my furniture and the glass inside each piece. I did have a broken free-standing mirror that cost less than $100, but that was the extent of it. Everything was placed where it was supposed to be, as they made sure the furniture was where I wanted it. They also offered their option when a piece didn't look good when I wanted it, and they, in turn, moved it with no hassle. My husband offered them bottles of water, and they were very thankful! I highly recommend them as this was my second time using their services.

Had a big move this weekend locally in the Roanoke County area and Ace Moving and Storage made it all possible. Frankie, Doug, and Big Mike showed up (on time), were organized, and worked hard for 4 solid hours to get me and all my belongings out of my old house and into my new apartment safely and efficiently. Mover Beware! Avoid Ace Moving & Storage at All Costs!

Our experience with Ace Moving & Storage in October for a local move was an absolute nightmare. From start to finish, this company demonstrated unprofessionalism, carelessness, and a shocking lack of accountability.

To begin with, their movers were unprofessional and alarmingly careless. What should have been a straightforward three-hour local move turned into an excruciating ordeal. The crew frequently took long breaks and worked at a snail’s pace. When I politely asked why they were moving so slowly and taking extended breaks, they became rude and belligerent, even telling me that I wasn’t their boss and didn’t pay their salaries. Reporting this behavior to management was futile, as they dismissed it, claiming frequent smoke breaks were "normal." While I understand moving is hard labor, it was clear they were intentionally dragging out the job to rack up more billable hours. At one point, they were literally carrying small items like couch cushions one at a time while moving as slowly as humanly possible.

After confronting management again, I demanded they leave so I could hire another mover. Management convinced me to compromise by sending a replacement crew. While this crew was slightly better, they still managed to leave behind our washer and dryer, forcing them to return the next day to complete the job.

The worst part? My wife’s expensive jewelry went missing during the move. The only people with access to the closed closet where the jewelry was stored were the movers. When we reported this theft to management, they essentially shrugged it off, claiming there was nothing they could do. This lack of accountability was absolutely appalling.

As if all that wasn’t enough, the movers damaged our hardwood floors, dragging furniture across them and leaving deep scratches. The damage to our home, the stolen items, and the poor treatment we received made this one of the most stressful experiences of our lives.

Final Verdict: Ace Moving & Storage is the absolute worst moving company we have ever encountered. Their aggressive, unprofessional conduct, damaged property, and missing belongings make them a company I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. Save yourself the stress, frustration, and heartache—choose another mover!

This was the first time I've paid for movers, and I will never go back! There might be cheaper options around, but the original quote given was accurate. They were very communicative before the moving date, and they showed up on time, moved quickly, were friendly and respectful, and so efficient! I would definitely recommend Ace Moving forward.

Damien Anderson, Chris Siep, Bill Barrett and Scott Funk are the names of the exceptional folks who represented the Ace Moving and Storage Team that handled my move from Virginia to Tennessee in January 2025.

Following my decision to relocate, I contacted two moving companies to submit estimates for moving me and my wife to Nashville. The Google reviews on both companies were exceptional and the cost estimates from both companies were very comparable. With this information at hand, I had to dig deeper into the culture and background of both companies.

When my analysis was complete, I selected Ace Moving and Storage as my moving company. This was largely based on my interaction with Scott Funk and Bill Barrett, both who assured me that their company would give us the specialized care and attention to our artwork and personal belongings that we deserve. The knowledge, professionalism and quality customer care that I received was truly amazing. I am pleased to say that our furniture and artwork arrived with no issues or breakage on the 500-mile journey.

Every call I made before moving was returned promptly......every question I asked was answered....and I am very pleased that I made the decision to use ACE MOVING AND STORAGE. Give them a try and I am sure that you will be happy with them as well!!
