The day they were supposed to move some of my furniture and boxes into storage, instead of 5 movers, there was 1 guy in charge and 2 high school kids that were totally untrained. I called Dave to complain. He said more movers would be coming to help. They ran out of supplies to secure the furniture and used MY packing tape, putting it on wood furniture, which damaged the finish when removed. Dave had told me they would put blankets on the items and leave them on while in storage. They did not do this, stacking furniture on top of furniture in storage with no protection.

After a few hours 2 movers from Moving On came to help out. They were amazing. They speeded up the process and showed the Wise Move movers what to do and how to do it.

After the horrible experience with A Wise Move, I hired Moving On for the actual move to North Carolina and they did an awesome job.

I took pictures of the damages as furniture was moved out of storage and sent this to Dave at A Wise Move. He said I needed to have them repaired and send him a bill showing the repairs had been done. When I sent the bill to him he completely ignored it. When I called him to ask about it he said it had been too long and he had no proof the repairs had been done so he couldn’t do anything. Then he hung up on me.

DO NOT use A Wise Move. They are awful!!!

I highly recommend A Wise Move. Dave and his guys were excellent. Prompt, professional, courteous, and made sure all my belongings were well taken care of and placed where needed. The guys never stopped moving while loading and unloading. Dave was great, communicative, and made the moving process a breeze. I will definitely use again for any moving needs in the future.

I would think twice before doing business with this company.. one of the trucks with our belongings was broken into on the moving company’s property. It was thought to be an inside job by one of the employees. While the owner replaced some of our items he has yet to make good on the others and refuses to take our calls or return our text messages which I still have on my phone as proof. This is no way to do business. On top of this there was damage done to some of our furniture as well. Owner talks a god game, but once he has your business and has been paid he is done. I waited months to post this, giving him more than adequate time to make good and respond, understanding being busy. It has become more than obvious he has no intention of doing the right thing..this move was at the end of November 2023. Moving is hard enough without going through something like this.

Dave and his guys at A Wise Move really got us out of a tough spot and offered to hold a piece of furniture in their warehouse for us while the painters delayed our project. They’re quick to respond and easy to communicate with. They really go above and beyond to make sure you’re happy with their service and your things are taken care of. I’d call them any day. They made my life so much easier.

We had a great experience with A Wise Move. The guys showed up and never stop moving until after they unloaded at our new home and got everything placed and set up like we asked. They made a point of being careful with our furniture and the walls, doors and floors at both houses they were in. Their price was extremely affordable. Dave and his team packed me up, put my things in storage for a few weeks, and unpacked me. Amazing communication and very upbeat team. My move was long and had some huge pieces. They never wavered. I also asked for some advice to prevent my cats from scratching my new box springs and they came up with a solution-they had plywood cut for 3 beds - picked up at Home Depot and installed during the move. Just amazing service! I hope to not move anytime soon, but 100% recommended A Wise Move for anyone.
