Passing through on a road trip and took a chance on it. Glad we did. Fresh cooked chicken livers, spicy tenders, and corn nuggets were all outstanding. Service was super friendly too. Highly recommend!!

Great local to area chicken fast food place. Food is quite tasty. They also have fried catfish that's pretty good too. I like the chicken tender and catfish combo with Mac and Che, green beans and seasoned french fries. Sometimes I'll get the mashed potatoes or the fried okra... They all good . Only issue aside from they can get rather busy at times and the service time can slow down to a crawl, the young ladies that take your order don't just let you give your order, that keep interrupting asking questions that I'd answer if they'd just stop interrupting and let me tell them what I want. It slows the whole process down and is very frustrating when you're literally saying what they need to know but they are so robotic they interpret your answer to ask questions you already know are coming and we're in the process of answering. And it happens every time! Please stop that. Anyway great food and flavor, especially for the price. Just work on service skills some.

Mr. Brett was the nicest person ever! My first time at chicken express and it was worth it. I haven’t been able to find gizzards in a while and theirs is amazing. Service was a 10/10 I would recommend! Thank you Brett!

We've been out of Texas for a while . The pup needed some food and the kids have never tried this place. The service was fast and friendly. The staff was awesome on Sunday! Everything was so hot and fresh. The SPICY was soooooo good!

Have been a regular at this restaurant for years-not because they’re the best, but because there is no other option since KFC closed. However, the only consistency is that something is wrong with every order-forgot a side, only half of my chicken, wrong order completely, no gravy, etc. I have given them chance after chance, again, because I’ve had no other choice. However, today, I call my order in, as I always do, bc you’re going to wait forever regardless of whether it’s fresh or not so I order mine fresh every time and give them time to get it together before going to pick it up. But, today, they decide they want to pick up the phone and wait 5 minutes before saying hello so they can scream back and forth about how I’m always ordering the same thing fresh every time. Then, they answer with a sigh and a hello as if I’m bothering them to give them my $50+ dollars every time. They ended with “you want this fresh, right?” Then, I pick up my order, and it’s messed up again! I’m done! You don’t have to worry about my little $50+ dollars again. I guess I’ll just go out of town for fried chicken.
