Review is average just like one of the above rater's. Billed insurance $66,955.96 for an hour transport from Showlow AZ to Phoenix, not sure why they bill unethical prices when insurance will only pay the agreed rate. When you are having an emergency medical episode the emergency room doctor orders air flight to nearest hospital to do the procedure. Charges should be around $6,000

My review is a an average. They provided great service in transporting my wife from Flagstaff to Phoenix a few months back. Then I got the insurance bill for this service. Air Transport "tried" to bill my insurance (Medicare and AARP) at total of $38357 for a flight of about 70 minutes with one medical nurse on-board. Really? In the end they settled for the Medicare approved rate of $6155 (which is still pretty outrageous considering the actual travel time and worst-case medical support cost for one hour).

Regardless of the final cost which was fully covered by my insurance, I really resent Air Transport for having the gall to initially try and bill it for such an outrageous amount. That is just not ethical in my opinion. If they are going to accept the Medicare approved rate, then just bill it for that!

Jessie and Rye transported our mother recently. Jessie called when they arrived in Flagstaff. She also continued to text with me until we arrived at the hospital. You both ROCK and mom is on the way to recovery.
