Lazy drivers who think it’s fine to take their 30 min break parked on the pump. He was there when I got to a pump a couple spaces away, I fueled truck, trailer and def. Pulled forward, went in and got a drink, came back out and he was still there as I drive away. Totally unprofessional. If their drivers are lazy in one area, they are probably lazy in others.

This Operations Center is decent, but there are a few pros & and cons. However, it is a little more decent than some others.

Pros/Cons:

Showers, but they don't have toilets in them.

Toilets in the facility are separate, so be prepared to utilize them before your shower.

There is a laundry room, it's small so be prepared for it to be occupied.

There is no cafe like other Operations Center.

There are loaner cars, but due to their not being a café they tend to be out often.

There are plenty of parking spaces for bobtail, but not many spaces for tractors/trailers.

I have only dealt with two driver team leaders, 1 was awesome, and the other was okay.

This Operations Center stays pretty busy with students and other drivers constantly coming and going.

Hopefully, these details will help someone else to better prepare themselves when stopping at this Operations Center.

I was flown out to Phoenix for inexperienced training. They provided the flight, hotel, and breakfast. Lunch was provided M-F on days there was training.

Training was thorough and the instructors had well over 100 years of driving experience between them.

The OC was ALWAYS clean. The food/snack prices were reasonable. If a drink is available in the self-service coolers and vending machine, it is much cheaper in the vending machine.

If you went to a decent CDL School, you shouldn’t have any issue getting through their driving courses and training.

Great place to start a trucking career. Went to the inexperienced training and my skills and confidence went up 100%. The trainers care, and I would highly recommend it to rookie drivers. Schneider has great equipment, trucks get recycled after two years, my truck had only 1,500 miles when I got her. I gave em 9 months and only reason I left was because I wanted to try flatbed. Schneider has its pros and cons, but so does every company.

Was based out of the Edwardsville oc then moved to Phoenix and transferred to this oc. The staff is nice, good gym, no full showers , the yard is a little crowded and Good luck trying to find a usable empty trailer here. If you are based out of this oc you will spend 50% of your time in the LA area. This oc is very hard nosed and stubborn about Home time which can be good or bad. Edwardsville was a whole lot more flexible with home time .

Dear Readers

I would like to give an honest and unfiltered assessment of the pilot program at Schneider International AZ. I apply for Schneider and was accepted on 8/12/2024. My accommodations were provided at no charge. I stayed at Greentree Hotel in West Phoenix. The hotel itself was clean and staff were very polite, but surrounding area was a haven for drug addicts, nomads and prostitutes.
Around 5:58 a.m. you have to be in the lobby ready for pickup. When she arrived at facility you enter a class room with assigned seats.

(CLASS ROOM)
The educational information was quite thorough, but far more than mere mortal could absorb, process and retain at one time. I can honestly say, That educational instructors were respectful, helpful and knowledgeable people. I had abundant of questions and they did their best to answer all of questions, and for that I get them five stars.

(YARD INSTRUCTORS)
Now when I arrived, I understand they were implementing a new pilot program which I was currently involved. I cannot honestly say that all the instructors were terrible and abusive, no you had some great instructors, but it's those few bad apples that ruined it for everyone.

I don't know if anyone ever heard of Three-Card-Monte, if you have then you know switching out instructors everyday it's a bad idea. Each instructor has his/her own way of training, on way of communicating, and if you are lucky you get one of those great trainers.

Unfortunately for me, the last trainer I received was the embodiment of the words authoritarian. We spoke to use like we were less than intelligent human beings. I believe he did this, because he knew, he had our fate in his hands.

Accept his abuse and pass, confront him and fail. I tried biting my tongue for a moment, but when he started verbally abusing an elderly student. I had to interject, I confronted him on his behavior and his use of unacceptable language. By doing so, I new my days there were numbered. I do not regret my decision for standing up for this elderly gentleman.

There's an old saying, God don't like ugly, eventually people like this instructor will have to pay the price for their actions down the line.

Overall, I would recommend Schneider based on the class room educational training, not so much on the behavior of there yard instructors. I believe they should undergo CST and random drug testing. This will help them weed out the bad apples.

This is for company drivers and their Owner ops only. They are not the best company to work for as they do not clean their trucks before assigning them to you and they do not run right. I only stayed with this company for about 3 months and two of those months I spent in hotels broke down. They refused to put me in a new rig so I left. The shop personnel treat drivers like they are disgusting idiots.
