We closed on our old house one week then closed on our new house a week later and UNITS was so flexible and great to work with. They gave me a quote to rent the unit and helped me make sure I got what I needed and for a great price! They delivered the unit on time and picked it back up and stored it for us in their climate controlled warehouse for the week. I was super shocked that all our stuff looked very minimally jostled durning the transportation of the unit. I could not recommend them more if you need to more or just store some things for a while! Best of all I loved getting to support a local company and our local economy!

I cannot say enough good things about Tim and his crew! Their UNITS were very clean and ready to use when they arrived. Every day we needed them, they were on time and very dependable. Our storage was well taken care of for the endurance of our time between houses, not one thing was damaged in our two UNITS. On move in day, we asked for a schedule change and they were quick to help us out!! You will not go wrong by using this company for your moving and storage needs. I was hesitant at first, but I decided to go local and I was not disappointed!

Phase Two of our epic move across the Continental Divide, from Boise, Idaho to Montgomery, Alabama! (For Phase One, check out our review posted for UNITS Boise.)

We've been in our new home now for about a week...a long week of moving all our belongings out of our UNITS shipping container, and into our new home. The UNITS container arrived at our house in great shape: nothing broken and no load slippage, settling or sliding! The crew from UNITS Birmingham were a great help. They had to access our back lot through a narrow road (again!) and through a gate that had not been opened for a long time. We especially appreciated their help with that gate: moving a pile of bricks that were in the way, and opening the stubborn, rusted, jammed latch! Then, getting it closed again when they left! Good work, guys!

Again, UNITS was gracious in allowing us as much time as we needed in order to get it all unloaded. Then, one phone call and a pick-up day and time was appointed. Brett came today as scheduled, and skillfully picked up and maneuvered the now-empty container back though the gate and onto their truck.

From start to finish, our experience with UNITS Boise and UNITS Birmingham has been professional, efficient, friendly, safe and secure.

For moving my own stuff for office and home I have used U-Haul and Pods. I preferred pods because they could drop off the container (not always exactly what I wanted it) and pick it up and use that as my storage also. But customer service wasn’t always the best. UNITS was able to get my container, exactly where I wanted it. And their customer service is ALWAYS there to help. They can do everything Pods can do but better!!

A good friend is moving to a new state and asked me who I would select, as I had been in the moving business 20 years ago. I know Tim Blackmon, Units Moving & Portable Storage, and felt confident could help my friend.Tim was right on it and with service and honesty and he was able to secure the move from my friend. He was able to store excess furniture in a portable storage to help sale his current home. Additionally, there may be an issue on closing date in new state, and Tim will hold the storage units at destination for when and my friend needs a few days. Overall just a caring good man.
