First time here, the food is excellent. We’re not from the area but the drive is worth it.
I had the chicken and eggplant, I’ll definitely return.

Transcendence

The food was alright. I didn't like the chicken (forgot what it was). To be fair I wanted to try something different than orange chicken. Wish I took it back. But the rice salad enroll with the lunch menu was good. Price was reasonable. I'm contemplating coming back and trying one more time. My waiter changed each time I was serviced. Almost had to call for water. Not great but not against trying one more time. No shrimp lettuce wraps or salt and pepper shrimp (lunch). Which is always disappointing when a Chinese Bistro doesn't have that).

Great Chinese restaurant if you are looking for lunch specials. The price is reasonable with a great amount of food. If you order their lunch specials, you'll get a soup, salad & eggroll, rice, and your choice of an entree. Enjoy!

The Orange Chicken and Filet Minion were some of the best meats I've had in a while. Especially the filet minion which is chopped up. Incredibly tender and the glaze or sauce they put in it was WONDERFUL. The Orange peel around the meal was actually a lot better than I expected. The Orange Chicken was very good too. I was disappointed with the Low Mien. I've had better at a cheaper price, but it doesn't take away from the rest of the food at all. The service was great and They were very attentive to us. I will definitely come back again.

We found our new Chinese restaurant to go too. I ordered a couple of trays of their popular entrées for my husband's birthday party and this place did not disappoint. The food is so good and my favorite was the honey walnut shrimp. Can't wait to dine at the restaurant.

I've known Fortune Cookies since it opened in Los Alamitos a couple of decades ago. It's now in Seal Beach, just a few blocks down from the original location. I've always liked their philosophy of being a "healthy" Chinese restaurant. Some people say that, because of that, the food is a bit on the bland side. Well, maybe they aren't overly aggressive flavors, but I actually do like them. And I think that their Mandarin Chicken with Eggplant is absolutely delicious! Anyhow, in these times of crazy prices, FC still gives you a lunch special for 10 bucks that includes a spring roll with salad, your choice of rice, your choice of soup, and one entree. Hard to beat that!

Ordered food here for the last time. They told me my order would be delivered in 45 minutes. After an hour and ten minutes, I called to find out the status. They assured me it would be there shortly. Another 35 minutes passed, and my food arrived cold and wrong. I spoke with the person who takes orders and he apologized and said it would be another 45 before they could remake and send it out. I was upset, and I could swear he said to eat the food and they would bring us the correct dishes, hot. Had he not said he could eat the food, I would have told them to come and get it, and we would have gone out somewhere to eat as we were not going to wait until 9:00 PM to eat.
The driver arrived and demanded the food; I explained that we ate it because we were told we could. Long story short, they agreed to leave us the one dish that they messed up. However, they would not leave us the other one that arrived late and cold. I have been ordering from this place regularly for the last four-plus years. I have overlooked other issues, but this is the last straw. The management is awful, and they don't apologize for lousy information or try to keep long-time customers. They must be doing so well that they don't care.

My wife found this place on GoogleMaps, after we were done doing 9 miles of cycling at Eldorado Park, I tought it looked ok, and so we went. Upon arrival, I noticed that the parking was small and felt a little lucky to have found the spot we got. It was only 2 of us and when we entered, we were seated at a 4 people table, I really like it when a resturant does that. We started with a Tsingtao beer, it was pretty good, I was told it's a light beer, and I rather have anything else over a BudLite. As we sat we were asked what kind of soupd we qanted.

I got the Hot and Sour soup, it was suppose to be spicy and it wasnt, but I really liked it!👍 I had forgotten about all that once I started eating it. My wife got the egg drop soup, she also liked it and she doesnt like anything. As for food we got the Beef and Broccoli, The house special Lo Mein, which has chicken, beef, some shrimp and noodles. It was good, not so greasy. My Wife had the Beef and Broccoli, she said it was the same as lots of places, but good.

I ordered a side of Fried Chicken Wontons and have finally gave up on Wontons. No matter where I go, they all have lots of crust and very little filling. Still ate them. Nice texture with the food I was eating. Paid about 33.00 or something. The lady who attended to us was great. Calm, cool, and courteous. Everything came out in a timely manner, I was a happy customer. Might be back.
