Bought a scale. When I came home I stood on it but it wouldn't turn on. So I changed the batteries. Still wouldn't turn on. I took it back to the store to exchange it for one that worked. The clerk called over the supervisor to approve the exchange. When she came over, she just gave me a dirty look, grabbed the scale, and proceeded to put in a different battery. When it suddenly worked, she looked at me with disgust and said you see it works, no refunds. I said I didn't want any refunds I came in to exchange it. She promptly wrote on the receipt "no returns" . I guess this is how they think they can win customers by treating them like liars and thieves. I don't know if it's going to stop working again, and I'll be stuck with it

I've of those places that's nice to have, but also reminds you why online shipping is winning. They do have a good selection, but a long wait to get someone to unlock the cabinet. They try to be helpful, but don't always know what they are talking about. Them you get home, realize the thing you bought does not do what they said it did and they say sorry, no returns. So yeah. Still shop there when I need something fast, but otherwise not really worth it. Some staff are crabby, some are really great.

Worst customer service experience. Rudest manager interaction. She yelled at me for shopping in the store with airpods in my ear. I will choose to shop anywhere else but here

They sold me a broken ironing board and when I tried to return it the Manager said it was open therefore not returnable. It wasn't I couldn't know that it was not stable until I opened it. Making matters worse, the manager Open the ironing board, pressed on it, and bent the legs so severely that it wouldn't fold clothes again. Even after this she refused to let me return the board she broke. She accused me of lying. DO NOT SHOP HERE. CUSTOMERS ARE TREATED BADLY.

Just the worst place to get your keys made. Over the years, time after time they get something wrong. Yesterday I still needed to learn my lesson about this. The real estate company made copies of my mailbox key from Ace Hardware, but the key wouldn't go in, so I did a crash course on the internet to learn about keys, and discovered the channels on the keys make a difference, but it was just too heady for the two guys there in the key department to grasp. They were rude to the point of schoolyard bullying, it was just unbelievable, my persistence was because it seemed unreal how they could not understand the difference of the various channel grooves on keys so I thought if they could try to I could get my key recut. They would not give me a straight answer, but repeated over and over to bring in the original key, rather than use the copy but with the right blank. The idea of contacting the real estate just for this when the key was right there to be recopied was ridiculous. I was about ready to ask for the manager or call the police. Finally, around the corner at Rex Keys, before I even finished explaining the problem the worker there cut me two keys from the copy as fast as lightning, and they fit the mailbox perfectly.

They're all disgusting
Talking about customers and assuming they're going to steal.
They're standing over me, stereotyping me, watching me like a hawk, because I guess I look like a thieving vagrant... They're all waiting for me to steal, talking about me where I can hear them...
And then, I pull out a wallet full of $20s to buy my set of two pliers, with these disgusting managers breathing down the back of my neck.
I mean, I understand they're bored...
Disgusting manager and employees.
I wish I could give 0/5 stars, instead of only 1/5.
Their prices are ridiculous, too.
Oh, and, Ive seen a lot more disgusting behaviour from their manager and employees, which I won't be submitting in this review.
I recommend the Asian hardware store down on Shattuck near Ashby.
Much nicer human beings there.
(I only give negative reviews in extreme, recurring cases)
