Service was excellent, very friendly and our food came out hot and quickly. Atmosphere gets 5 stars because of the view. As per my waiter’s suggestion around sunset I took a walk around our back and got a great view. Prices are slightly high for steaks but there are lots of other options that are more reasonable to choose from. Although the steaks looked great. My husband’s short rib bowl was absolutely delicious. So many great flavors and the meat was very tender.

Food was so worth the wait. Was delicious. The fries are a whole meal or to split so just keep that in mind. The short rib was tender and juicy. The teriyaki chicken was perfection. 10/10 recommend! Service was slow took server about 10-15 minutes to approach us but it was a Friday night. Didn’t seem to have too many servers on. Food took about 20-30 minutes , appetizer came out after our entrees.

Good location with beautiful canyon views, overpriced, terrible food and service.
1. Wait time: Despite arriving when several tables were getting cleared up (guests done dining and leaving), it took over 45 minutes to get our food. I even casually asked our server if this was thier busiest time, which she denied.
2. Food: We ordered chicken tenders for kids, which were rubbery and chewy. Even fast food joints serve better chicken tenders. Our kids couldnt eat them.
Positive: the server gracious accepted and took off the charge.
3. Tofu stir fried bowlswith yakisoba: We got two of these, and in both the bowls brussell sprouts were charred rather being fried. Yakisoba was bland and oily, no real taste. No action taken despite showing them the quality. Btw, each of these “charred” bowls cost $32!
4. Gratuity: they charged an 18% gratuity for serving a family of 4, which had a kid and a toddler- no special requirements nor exceeding the usual count of 5 for auto-gratuity (usual at fine dining, which this place wasnt). This on top of overpriced food!

Not going back here, nor do i recommend.

The food is excellent, prices are a bit high.

I know it’s a tourist town, but still, their teriyaki bowl is $37 before tax/tip. For just a teriyaki bowl. That’s too much.

That said, the bowl really is delicious. And the steam friend were also amazing. Actually those fries were the highlights.

Dessert was ok, nothing special.

Incredible sunset views. They are perched on a ledge over looking the mountains and it makes for incredible photos.

First, Deidra was our server and she was so friendly, kind and attentive!

And the food… the MOST FLAVORFUL wings we’ve ever had. We got a combo of flavors. Crispy yet tender and juicy! I think they are the best I’ve ever had…. Short rib bowl with rice and kimchi also delicious and flavorful. We topped it off with the the passion fruit cheesecake bomb. It definitely did not disappoint!
And not to mention the panoramic views. I highly recommend Sunset 89!!

Beautiful view and great appetizers. The chicken wings were good size and tasty, and the Brussels were delicious! Got the pork belly bowl which was good, the soup was nothing special though. Would recommend stopping by

Sunset 89 is NOT to be missed. A tremendously good option while visiting the Lake Powell area. The fish and chips were delicious and very crispy. The Unagi mushroom burger with an added egg was the best burger that we have enjoyed in quite a while. We sat outside and watched a gorgeous sunset in beautiful weather with very good service. The entire staff was very friendly and accommodating. We recommend giving Sunset 89 a try.

Food was delicious! We were passing through on our Spring Break road trip on Easter Day and it was amazing to find a great restaurant open. Kids loved their food and had some outdoor space to run around. The Sunset 89 Ramon with Tempora Shrimp was fantastic!
