Caesar Chavez Park in Laveen is a great local spot that offers a peaceful escape with a beautiful lake, open green spaces, and a fun playground for kids. One of the highlights for me is feeding the ducks by the lake. The ducks are friendly and always seem ready for a little snack, which makes it a delightful experience, especially if you’re with family or young kids.

Aside from feeding the ducks, the park also has good walking trails and plenty of shade, which makes it enjoyable even on warmer days. There are also several picnic areas, so it’s easy to spend a full day here. The park is well-maintained, clean, and feels safe, with a good mix of people enjoying everything from fishing to flying kites. It’s a perfect spot for a relaxed day outdoors!

This park has a huge lake with lots of twists and turns. There’s a cool island with a bridge. There are lots of fields, including soccer, baseball, football, and so on. There are tennis courts, basketballs courts, and even a dog park. There are plenty of restrooms. This park has multiple EV charging stations throughout the park. There’s a library and recreational center. This park features playgrounds, picnic areas, open fields, plenty of fishing spots, and lots more to explore!

Overall, I really enjoy this park. It’s a great park with plenty to do. It’s nice leaving my car to charge while being able exercise. I felt pretty safe here. There are plenty of lights and lots of people. Occasionally, there are elote carts driving around. The park is conveniently located near a gas station and shopping plazas.

For years, I used to take my doggo here, plenty of access to mosey around the lake, and gathering areas, and a well maintained dog park. Nowadays, I use the kids area for my 18-month-old. It's really captivating to his attention, and he does well here with close supervision. After playing in the playground, we usually watch the ducks swim by before leaving. During summer months, definitely get here before 10, or even 9 am, because the metal equipment heats up fast.

Our family love to come to the outdoor playground in the middle of the park specially views behind that are large pound near by golf course,this place also close to public library and community centre for this area,and sometimes after my daughter come back from school near by we can just sit or walk to got relax for a while before come back home good for bring dog walk too

This place is absolutely huge! It's kind of hard to navigate it's so big and all the maps make it kind of hard to find where it is you want to go. It was a little bit ghetto there were people racing around the loop, speeding making it a little bit dangerous. There were hundreds and hundreds of people there on a weekday. But they had a skate park and Fields and Courts for every conceivable sport only we couldn't find a volleyball court. There's a huge Lake. A huge Rec Center. There's a dog park picnic tables we couldn't find a bathroom but I know they were there. We ended up playing volleyball on an inconvenient Hill and left after this second Chase between a speeding vehicle and a security vehicle and after witnessing multiple obvious drug transactions and stationary Vehicles clearly using drugs in the parking lot. Not really a place for my 9-year-old daughter and I but still not a bad Park overall. Four star rating.

This park is not safe!
I used to love this park but in February I was sitting under a tree minding my own business and a homeless person beat me up and stole my phone. This was in broad daylight and completely unprompted, I absolutely did not expect it. I would avoid this park or at least be very careful, I have since bought pepper spray.

I walk my dogs around the lake every weekend, and they love to play in the nice green grass dog parks!

It's a beautiful city park. But that's all it really is. Very good views of the mountains. And a very relaxing place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. I wasn't able to check out the library or the rec center but they look like expensive building's.
