We should have gone to the other Bagel shop in town for breakfast because this one's smoked salmon bagel was not what we had in mind.
It's like going to a Starbucks, they toast the bagel and serve you the smoked salmon spread in a container for you to DIY.
We expected to be chunks or slices of smoked salmon served on an open bagel with cream cheese on the bottom...
Let's say it was underwhelming..

My go-to coffee spot on the Spit! The baristas are always so nice and the breakfast burritos are so tasty! Mug up also sells heavenly muffins and cookies made by Red Bird Cafe (sometimes they sell them for only a dollar if they are a day old!)

My experience at the Mug Up coffee bar was great! They had alternative milk options and the price was very typical for a coffee shop. I got to check out the Salmon Sisters Fish Shop while I was there and extra bonus was that they carry Redbird cookies!!!

It's not just a coffee shop. From my experience, coffee shops focus on their coffee. I had a London Fog tea latte. It was ok.

If you are looking for various souvenirs/Alaska gifts this would be a good place to look.

A little coffee bar inside of their shop towards the end of Homer spit. Nice outdoor seating for sunny days and some extra indoor seating just outside. My favorite place to get some coffee now.
