You have to pay extra to pay online. I have had 3 water bills not show up. They say they are not responsible for mail delivery. Water is very expensive compared to Prattville city water.

Before buying a property, make sure the previous owner did not have a past due balance. One of my clients bought property, when they went to turn the water on they were informed there was a $428 past due balance from the previous owners that they needed to pay. Umm, no. That is not a new owners responsibility. It took 3 days for my client along with myself and attorney to get their water on. They knew they would have a lawsuit.
I’m not sure how they would think that it is remotely the correct thing to do to charge a new customer the balance of the previous customer.

I don’t think anyone could state they’ve ever had a good experience with the females in the office. Anybody who works in a customer service position, no matter the situation, should treat a consumer with respect. The fact that this is a water authority that is paid for the people of this county, which in return pays the salary of the office staff, they should be forced to resign from their positions or terminated immediately, with new management coming in who has experience working in customer service/relations, as well as new staff members to run the office. It’s time for the board members to step up, pay attention, and hold employees accountable. Look at what your customers are saying and quit relying solely on that bottom line.
The office manager is the most rude, eye rolling, unprofessional, “look at me I’m behind a glass and can speak to you any kind of way” type of person. The first to go.
The desk worker, same as the manager, needs to go. She is equally as nasty. The way she talks over you, refuses to listen, and purposely starts arguments with customers by no listening and talking over you. If you can’t do a customer service job, then remove yourself from such a job. Employers are actively hiring due to the pandemic, she needs to apply somewhere with no interaction with customers, such as a dishwasher at a local restaurant. With the amount of hate and negativity that this lady has, those would be the cleanest dishes ever, because she could just scrub the hell out them to release her obvious stress and hatred.
If they ever understood that if they treated their customers with respect, it would be returned to them, then it could possibly be a better environment. It’s time to hold them accountable and make the necessary changes with the appropriate staff members.
Looking to move out into the county? Spend the little bit of money on a well for your property and avoid having to utilize the county’s water authority.

They are making us pay a fine that what not ours to pay and kept our water off for 2 days while I have an infant and a toddler in our home.
Now we are having to pay something that is not our fault If we want it back on.
And said last night that there was nothing that could be done or that it wasn't there problem when we stated we had 2 minor children.
Very rude as well.

Why cant they send out flyers or even an automatic phone call when they decide to work on lines for an extended period of time? Its an extreme inconvenience to wake up to a nine month old who needs a bottle.. And i have absolutely no water. I could have prepared had i known 24hr in advance.

Just run away and save yourself from high blood pressure and negativity. This is the most unprofessional public service office I’ve ever had to deal with. Buy property that is not within their jurisdiction.
