I was passing through Clovis for work and wanted to try a new place to me. Well I found this sandwich place. The pastrami sandwich was incredible. The chip names were awesome and delightful. Tasted like they were kettle cooked which I truly enjoy. The food came out quickly and 100% correct the way we order it. The atmosphere was slow and quiet due to the time of day we were there. I would totally go back when I am in town again!!!

This place looked really good online so we decided to give it a try when we were in the area. My husband ordered the tuna melt and I ordered the chili cheese baked potato. The tuna melt was good and cheesy and the potato was good as well. The potato chili ratio could be better. The potato was huge and the chili just covered the top so the patio was pretty dry and we only embedded up eating half of it even with extra sore cream. Otherwise we would probably not mind coming back and trying something else on the menu. Someone ordered the tri tip sandwich and it looked pretty good.

Just okay, is my verdict. The bill was obscene for two sandwiches, two drinks, a side salad, and two desserts, though.

But what really turned me off was not the sandwich, but the extras.

Speaking for myself, the Caesar salad dressing was extremely acidic, the croutons didn't taste very good, and the lettuce was uninspiring. The chocolate cake slice was VERY dry and the frosting was way too sweet (not as freshly baked maybe as I'd have hoped, I think).

I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak and that, I think, is worth the money, but I'd hesitate to come here again overall. Stick with their specialty, and avoid unnecessary extras that will just rack up the bill.

I really loved the California Pastrami and my wife had the Turkey Bacon Melt. She said it had the best sandwich she's ever had. Staff was very friendly as well. Highly recommend!

My first time here and it did not disappoint! The cracked pepper turkey sandwich and homemade chili was such a great choice. Savory and full of all the flavors. I treated myself to a scrumptious chocolate chip cookie after ward. Kaitlyn made the experience that much better. Her impeccable customer service and radiant smile was exactly the type of energy I love to come in contact with. I will definitely be returning.
Came back again this time for the southwest chicken and a pumpkin spice snickerdoodle cookie. I'm so satisfied omg! Thank you so much!!

I used to love SSC! Now, $40 for a sandwich (with very little meat) a baked potato, bag of chips and two sodas. They used to really pack their sandwiches with meat and I didn't mind spending the money.... Now? Meh 😕 Service was good! Clean, friendly, fast.👍
