Dr. Heckman was just as amazing as the other reviews mentioned. I'm so happy to have selected him for the healing process of my broken fibula. My
6 year old daughter was so nervous for me thinking I may have to have surgery. It was not the case and Dr. Heckman was a joy to work with. Super friendly, knowledgeable, and professional.

We came to Eric after my mom fell off a ladder at work. He was polite, informative, and overall very very patient with our million of questions. He did not rush us to make a decision on which route we wanted to take. He also never complained about My mom having more than one person in the room with her. He gave us the option that was best for us financially while still making sure my moms recovery was top priority. They offered to see us at an office that was closer to us in SC but we still decided to drive to Charlotte solely to see Eric.** I do want to note that the rest of the office staff did make comments to us when we came with her which I thought was really rude but Eric was wonderful.

Eric was so kind and patient with my son. He asked detailed questions about how the injury occurred, was super knowledgeable about soccer and the types of injuries most often sustained as well as how to prevent future injuries. He gave my son suggestions with specific exercises to stretch and warm up and avoid other preventable injuries. Eric was superb and provided excellent care.

Of the handful of times I've gone for a shattered big toe. Waited maybe 3 minutes or less to be seen. The staff was always polite and helpful. Office was always clean and safety 1st. Can't believe Eric touches feet for a living 😳. But so thankful He and his staff does., oh yeah, I really appreciate that He was willing and in non-doctor terms answered any question I had. THANKS

Eric Heckman is not only skilled clinically, he is a kind, caring person which makes him an excellent care provider. He’s continued to help with a problem foot over the years and lessened the difficulty of it. He listens and welcomes patient participation in a care plan if have thoughts on what would be helpful to you personally. Thank you OrthoCarolina for having this caliber of care providers!

We went to Dr. Heckman because my son broke his ankle wrestling at a tournament while in Charlotte. We were referred to him by the ER Dr. We were assured that he was the person to see and the OrthoCarolina foot and ankle office was where to go. He was not wrong. Dr. Heckman was professional, straight-forward, and patient. He let us know exactly what we were looking at and what our recovery window will look like. Even though surgery was not what we were hoping to hear, he left us feeling confident and reassured. Highly recommend Dr. Heckman!!!!!

I was in really bad pain and I thought it was Plantar Fasciitis because I had this before. I went to Foot & Ankle as a walk in, after speaking to customer service I was able to get an appointment within 15 minutes AWESOME!!! I saw Dr Heckman and was told it was actually my achilles tendon that was irritated, got boot and meds. The pain is slowly easing up and I'm getting used to wearing the boot. Thank you so much Dr. Heckman and staff I really appreciate all you did for me yesterday.
