Michael has been one of the nicest doctor I met at orthocarolina. He was very kind, friendly and made me feel at easy. It was like he was really tuning into your concerns and answer your question. He seem to love his job. After more than five visits at orthocarolina, this one was one of the best ones. Thank you for you willingness to show your patients that we are valuable and that you care.

I recently aggravated a osteoarthritis condition that had developed following decades of athletic wear & tear on my right foot. I was scheduled to leave for a ski trip out West a few days later and worried my trip would be a complete bust. My primary care physician scheduled me an appt with Michael at OrthoCarolina and the experience was amazing. He took time to understand my situation, he was incredibly personable & professional, and provided me options to treat my issue and save my vacation plans. I decided to get a cortisone shot and left w a few recommendations to aid the healing process at home. A day later my foot feels almost 100% and I have several days to spare be I leave on vacation. Michael was awesome and I can’t say enough about my experience- a 10/10 across the board. Thank you Michael!

The facility was efficient getting us in and back to a room. The nurse was very nice. However, Michael Buscema came off as arrogant and quick to make a decision without even listening to my son. He was smug and off putting. On the summary paperwork he wrote the wrong ankle. My 15 year old left completely frustrated and thought he was so rude. We would not return to see him.

I’ve had arch pain that’s been steadily worsening. Five weeks ago, I had a horrible new pain in my heel start out of nowhere that was maybe 8/10. I explained both things to Michael Buscema. However, when I told him that my heel pain had only started recently, his tone changed immediately. He wanted to just write a prescription and get out of the room asap. I was left with no guidance around the horrible pain and no guidance around the pain that’s been worsening. It came off as quick, unconcerned, and rude. I would not recommend him to anyone.

It took 45 mins to be seen and it wasn't busy at all. No apologies for the wait. I've been going for months and I think it's time to find a new facility. When you go to the doctor and your in severe pain and they just treat you like your a number tells you that the focus is money. Patient care is secondary. Buscema did my injection and he did a horrible job. The worst shot I've had my entire life! He definitely needs more practice! These new doctors really don't care about you.

Everyone was welcoming, kind, willing to listen, had patience, answered all my questions, and was knowledgeable. Also forthcoming with additional information to help my healing process. These qualities are particularly important to anyone, but especially an elder of 72 plus years. Thank you

Nvr going back. They are not giving accurate information as to whether u owe something b4 u leave ur room ur in as a patient, ur told once u give the receptionist the form they give u. I owe how much? Y they didn't tell me my son's platinum bracket costs this much before I agreed to sign the form. And they nvr gave my son or me the prescription we were supposed to get b4 leaving. My son goes back in to get it, he's 17, cus I already pulled the car arnd, he comes back out an says the receptionist has no idea wat he talkn about so they give him a flyer an say u can go to ur local pharmacy an pick up sum cream on the flyer it had nothing to do wit his pain level.... smh. I was soooo disappointed in the way they do things. Nvr will I ever go back.
