First time using this company for a move from Roanoke, VA to Tampa, FL. Cost was close to $8k given it was only 1- 26 ft truck with no furniture and mostly odds and ends with lots of storage totes. Types of items matter with pricing I learned. Everything was very smooth and the logistics & price were very good for the quality & convenience of service. A crew of 3 loaded the truck, & with our house having 3 levels I was glad the movers were young and strong guys. On the receiving end they had 2 movers to unload, but it was much easier in Florida with a 1 level home. All in all they were professional & efficient. Any time I move in the future I'll be using Varsity.

My sister and I had the best experience with Virginia Varsity Transfer for my recent move and under very difficult personal circumstances. HQ provided a very reasonable quote, info on details, and patiently let me change the date several times. They sent a super experienced (including baby grand piano), kind, respectful, attentive, efficient team of four led by amazing Chris and his coworkers David, Jacob, and Mohammad. Their physical strengths were impressive, but it was the respect for the items, situation, customer satisfaction, and pure appreciation for the job and each other that stood out. My sister had brought a playlist/speaker and we all enjoyed the music and shared a few stories. I couldn't ask for a better moving transfer team and company... highly recommend!

From scheduling the estimate appointment to delivery at the final destination, the service was excellent. No hassle in setting up appointment, crew was on time or early for the packing day and the actual move the following day. I was greeted by crew of three on both the packing day and the move day. Very friendly crew. All items were boxed neatly and securely with a description of contents on every box they packed. Breakable/fragile items were wrapped carefully to prevent damage. The actual move across the state was great, no issues and the crew was patient with their work and not in a rush to complete the job. Storage unit was packed neatly and specific items were left easily accessible as I had asked. Customer service over the phone was also excellent, answered the questions I had. Highly recommend Virginia Varsity Transfer for your moving needs, and I will use them again if I am ever in need of their service in the future.

Virginia Varsity Transfer and Storage has moved our family two times, once in 2011 and then in March of 2025. These are the folks that you want to move your furniture and possessions. The first people you need when you move are the Virginia Varsity schedulers and estimators. They are timely and thorough and get back to you quickly with potential moving dates, guidelines, prices, and answers to your questions. The next people you need are the actual mover people from Virginia Varsity. They communicated well which lowered our anxiety during this important moving event. They let us know their arrival time a week ahead and then an hour ahead of their arrival so we were always in the loop and better knew what to expect. When they first arrived at our house, they all greeted us and told us their names, helping us all know that we are in this moving event together. We met Zach, J. T. , Quantae, Lee, and Elijah. These guys were great to us and treated each other professionally. We walked through the house and workshop area together to give them an overview of what needed to be moved, which items were especially fragile, and what our labeling on the boxes meant. They asked us questions when they needed clarification. When they started moving the items, they helped each other by communicating whether to move fast or slowly, whether they needed to step up or down for potential tripping hazards, and shared their own ideas with each other about how to carry very heavy or fragile pieces; this showed their care for each other and their leadership. Although they were lifting heavy loads, they were cheerful and worked quickly. When they cleared a particular area of our home, they would ask us to do a “walk through” to give immediate feedback and adjust or change what they had done. They received what we said with a good attitude and willingness to do anything that we needed for the move. These folks were friendly, polite, kind, and professional. We are grateful to these young movers and to those folks in the office who made our move safe and successful.

Virginia Varsity Transfer packed up our furniture and belongings in Roanoke, stored them for a couple of months and then delivered them to our new home in NC. Each move was performed very professionally by 3 of the nicest people you 'll every meet. A big shout out to Misty, Zack, Finney and Troy; they made our move as painless as possible!
