Went to talk to the owner about his storage units and he told me that i need to pay a year in advance and he only does one year contracts in addition does a background and credit check. I have never heard of anything so crazy in my life I'm surprised he's still in business.

Owner doesn't know what he is doing!
One of the rudest people within the first 10 seconds of meeting.
Doesn't know his own unit sizes they are false what he tells you all the units have water that gets into them. So many things wrong with this place. If you rent the first unit through the gate it has the security unit in it for the video camera gear in the back corner and you can cover it but that doesn't mean its less even though its less space and you have to leave a clear path for him to get in and out of your stuff.

He called us multiple times after he said he isn't open to negotiation stating he will be open to it now. Said we are shrewd and made him go out of his way to meet to look at the unit.

Im sorry but your job is to rent the units and make people want to rent from you not be rude and tell people they need to close the deal the second they see it.

Make sure to go elsewhere. Unless you like to be called rude and be talked down to by a small "man"

Unit broke into twice in the space of 5 months, Conveniently cameras "weren't working" both times. Management doesn't seem to understand how the online pay works, charged a month after moving out, claimed he thought he stopped my payments.
