Ordered 9 months supply of contact lenses with 1 day delivery as I am about to run out of lenses. The lenses were delivered on time but they sent the wrong prescription! I called their customer service that said they are sorry but I have to wait 2 business days to receive the lenses with the correct prescription. They offered a $20 credit since it’s their fault. But the credit doesn’t show up in my account. I have to make the next order over the phone and claim it from their agent. I have to take their word that the credit shows up in THEIR system. It’s ridiculous that they won’t just show the credit in my 1-800 CONTACTS account. I also despise how they wait until after you complete your order (I.e. after you have paid) to require that you upload a photo of your prescription. Unreliable AND shady.

I recently had an experience with 1-800-CONTACTS that truly went above and beyond any customer service I’ve ever received. I called with a unique, somewhat complicated request, and I had the absolute pleasure of working with Nichelle Green. She was an absolute gem, handling my request with patience, care, and kindness, which in itself was impressive.

But what really made this experience exceptional was how she took the time to listen to me during a difficult period. I have been going through a lot with my sick cat, and Nichelle spent 45 minutes on the phone with me—not only resolving my issue but also offering me comfort, encouragement, and hope. Her words were genuinely uplifting and brought a much-needed sense of calm. She even said I’d be in her prayers. It was such a refreshing, heartfelt interaction that I never expected in a customer service call.

Nichelle handled my contact issue seamlessly, but her kindness and empathy are what left a lasting impact on me. She truly deserves recognition, and I sincerely hope her supervisors see this. This level of customer service deserves a raise, a promotion—anything that reflects how extraordinary she is at her job. In my 33 years, I can say this was one of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever had. Thank you, 1-800-CONTACTS, for employing people like her who go above and beyond to make a difference. I didn’t enjoy being upsold multiple times when I called for a fix. Disappointed in the slimy sales tactics they are using at the moment. They need to go back to just being quality customer service not used car salesmen over the phone. I used to love ordering from this company now I dread it and I am going to consider going elsewhere moving forward.

I just renewed my contacts prescription online with the instant eye exam and it was great! The experience was so East to do and taking the eye exam via telephone was interesting and fun. I did it this morning and already I've gotten a shipping email. Thanks for a great, easy way to renew my contacts!
