I knew when we rented a shed here that there would be dust, so we were prepared for that, but good heavens, they have a mice problem. We recently decided to not store our stuff there anymore, and when we cleaned it out, there wasn't a single square foot of space that didn't have mouse droppings. We have also been trying to get a hold of the company for over a month (through phone calls and emails) and have had no response, so even though we haven't had anything stored there in over a month, we are still being charged. It's horribly managed, and just as expensive as some other local storage sheds that have onsite managers and temperature controlled units. If you need a storage shed, go literally anywhere else.

I never leave reviews but people should be warned about this place.

- The manager is completely unresponsive.
- The gate rarely works. It is usually either stuck open, or if it closes it won't open from the inside. (You need to roll your car around for a few minutes to find the right spot, or just hop the fence and enter the code).
-Someone clearly tried to break into my unit. There were bolt-cutter marks on my lock. I called the manager and left a message and they were unresponsive as always.
-If you get a unit here, your stuff will always be covered in sand.
-I cancelled my unit through storagepro and moved out, but was still charged the next month. There appears to be no way to stop auto-pay, and of course the manager is unresponsive, so I'm going to have to dispute the charge.

I'd recommend you go somewhere else.

Unfortunately under new management and it's gone down hill from there.
Raised the rent twice in the past 3 months.
Plus if you value your stuff and don't want it covered in dirt (South weber gravel pit is across the street) asked several times to replace the seals on the door with no response..other then the rent is going up
You can find alot cheaper, cleaner storage units near by...don't waste your time or money..had to seal my own door to keep the dirt out..which doesn't work anyways with that canyon wind every morning!

Their prices are fair. Other than that the dust that comes from the gravel pit is horrible, it got into everything of ours. Even things I sealed up with plastic wrap still made itโ€™s way in there. The mice were a separate issue, before the units were sold I did complain to the owner about it. The mice ruined two of our couches and almost ruined one other furniture item of ours. We had to personally spray our units down and put baiting stations in. The new management is very kind however itโ€™s difficult to get ahold of them. I left several voicemails to cancel for the month and they called asking for payment. Thankfully when I spoke to them they were able to cancel the payments and take us off of the units. It was one of the only places that had availability which is great since most donโ€™t. It is easy access from 89 and you can get to your units well. The hardest thing was taking a trailer in there due to the awkward lot angle. Would I recommend? Probably not however if others arenโ€™t available and you need something ASAP then yes but not a long term solution.

Do not use South Weber Storage! This set of storage sheds is downwind from ongoing sources of dust that blows in on the legendary frequent wind through the cracks around and under the storage shed door. The dust coats the surfaces of stored objects and the storage shed floor. Stored objects with moving parts (Power Equipment) will require thorough cleaning before they can be used. Electronics will be ruined unless carefully packaged and sealed. This set of storage sheds recently changed management. Bob was amicable and easy to contact. He allowed appropriate grace for payments sent by mail. Conversely, the new Management Company is austere and difficult to work with to solve problems. Customer service is minimal to non-existent. The new Management Company has a corporate call center. The friendly agents have no authority to solve problems, but they will cheerfully accept payments. This company sends threatening letters demanding payment of different fees in addition to rent for a variety of contrived reasons. I will be glad to escape the dust and the battles with this money grubbing new management company. Meanwhile, my advise is steer clear of South Weber Storage.

Currently I've been renting here for for about 2 years and a few years before that I'd rented a space for 6 or 8 months with nary a problem. Bob always treated us well and any issues we were able to easily work out.

However, since this new company has taken over we've had nothing but trouble. We've been sent probably 25-30 blank leases to sign and advised that we would be getting charged $17.00 a month for insurance if we did not decline it. Which we immediately did when we asked for a properly filled out lease be sent to us to sign, which as of today, 2-9-2023, we still do not have although we keep getting blank ones about every 3 days. Plus initially when getting our automatic bill pay switched over to the new corporate account we had 2 payments go to Bob because we had not received the management company's banking info. We received a late notice on the first payment and advised them that Bob had it and would get it to them. Next we are charged late fees and are threatened that our stored goods will be sold because Bob didn't get the check to them until the 14th. We talked to customer service and thought we had that all straightened out and were told that once again Bob didn't get our check to them at the very moment it hit his mailbox so we again got notice of late charges, plus still being charged for insurance that we don't want or need because we already have it, and more threats about selling our property over 1 months rent without so much as a phone call, legitimate lease, or the ability to contact anyone that seems to be able to communicate with corporate management.

Tomorrow I will try to contact someone with some kind of authority at their corporate offices to try to resolve this fiasco; but I don't have very high expectations. If we can't get corporate to figure out that their "no contact" business model isn't working well be finding a new storage facility ASAP.

My advise to anyone seeking storage right now is to stay away from South Weber Storage. The dust and dirt I can deal with; utter incompetence is not.

Update: 2-10-23. My wife spoke to Bob this morning, who by the way is still in the storage business at Bobcat Storage in South Ogden on Harrison; a place that I used several years ago.

Bob told us that there is someone physically at South Weber Storage every morning until 12:30 PM. Not sure if that includes weekends. He also told us that this person was responsible for coming to him to retrieve any rent payments still coming his way, so any payments sent to him on time but listed as late are the work of the new ownership. He additionally told us that their corporate offices were difficult to contact, often not answering their phones or returning calls, and ignoring messages. Not surprising from a California company.

Well be heading down there tomorrow or Monday morning and will update again.

I've been renting for 3 months now, and this place is great. The unit has plenty of space for a good price, and the floor was free of stains. There is dust, like others have mentioned, but I was warned of that because of the proximity of the gravel pits and canyon winds, so I won't deduct from the rating.
The only critique I have is they don't have online payment, but they do accept my credit union's bill payment service, so I can still easily pay.

Awful. After selling they have raised prices and it's all gone south. It's dirty, mouse-infested, and ruined my couches from flooding because they didn't plow enough. One plastic tub with priceless keepsakes was ruined by mice. The sand and dirt from the gravel pit coats everything even after just a few days. The gate is constantly broken. Stay away.
