I own a liberty gun safe with the securam toplit keypad. The keypad began to malfunction. Even with a brand new battery I couldn't get into my safe. Called customer support and they offered to send me a new key pad under warranty. This was nice but I couldn't wait for it to arrive. I found a local retailer and they had the keypad in stock so I went and bought it. Installed the new keypad and I still have the same issue. Called customer support and waited 1.5hrs for someone to answer. After trying everything customer support suggested, I still couldn't get into my safe. They stated they would send a new lock to a locksmith and have them come drill into my safe and replace the lock and keypad. They stated the locksmith should receive the lock within 5 days. The locksmith would then contact me to schedule. So I'm still locked out and will be for at least a week. They advertise as American made safes but they use chinese electronics that fail and lock you out of your safe. I will be buying a mechanical safe from someone besides liberty after this ordeal. Absolute garbage.
They'll also delete your facebook comments as they did with mine.

Liberty safe 1 of the few ALL AMERICAN companies in the US. Parking lot is wide enough for making a U turn & slots are properly spaced so you can back in easily, the place is not open late so @ 1600 hrs they close the gate, if live load try 2b there B4 12:00, you can leave your trailer there & bobtail to buy something to eat & comeback without any issues but B aware of the closing times or you'll be lock out.

After doing my homework on safes, I ended up purchasing a Liberty.

During my research, I could not help but see that Liberty has taken some heat as of late, as I'm sure you are aware. My decision to purchase a Liberty safe despite the recent bad press was an easy one. My careful consideration included factors such as quality, American-made, overall reputation, warranty, and customer service.
Based on my research, purchase, and interactions with Liberty's customer service, I can confidently say that Liberty is a phenomenal company that I highly recommend.

So, back to the recent negative press… Liberty made it right by changing their policies, including allowing their customers the option of having the master code removed from their files and ultimately doing right by their customers with customers' interests at the forefront.

I highly encourage you to look at the entirety of the company: being quality, made in the USA, having a solid reputation, standing behind their products with a phenomenal warranty, and having top-notch customer service, along with the fact that they changed their policies to further solidify customer satisfaction and trust. I can confidently say that I assure you that you will not be disappointed with their products; you will be impressed with their high level of customer service and warranty, and you will have peace of mind with your purchase.

I chose Liberty and have complete confidence in the company, products, and warranty in the unlikely event I need it.

I purchased a Libery 1776 Safe last week. It does EVERYTHING I want in a gun/pistol/valuables safe at a Very reasonable price. The light kit had a little to be desired but otherwise one of the best purchases I've ever made! My advice is call and shop Liberty Safes for your specific needs and read ALL of the instructions carefully as with all products.

I bought an hd300 in 2016 and it worked great until it didn't. I went to open it 2 days ago and the latch mechanism cycled, but didn't unlatch the door. Called Liberty customer service and was told, and I quote, "since it was out of its 2 year warranty I'm out of luck. It is a wearable part, just like parts on a car, pieces wear out". I get the wearable part, but what surprised me was there was zero offer to help at all. I had to drill the latch through the door to get it open. I drilled through the door hoping I could easily get the door replaced and the latch mechanism fixed instead of running the whole safe. Honestly I am just happy it didn't fail to open when I really needed it to open. I would highly recommend a different company just based on customer service alone...

Bought one of their safes locally. Customer service in Sacramento was great. Purchased online and wow; botched the orders. Two emails with pictures, no one answers when I called. Faster response on facebook messenger. Got an email of an invoice of the missing item, thanking me for my purchase. No indication if It was going to be mailed/shipped or am I going to be reimbursed. Poor communication.

Worst customer service. They do not return emails or calls. Product is questionable with all the problems I discovered. New safe with rusted metal. Was discovered when tightening the lag bolts and paint chipped off bottom plate, due to the amount of rust on the metal. No validation on the owners manual that it's been inspected and passes. Serial number stickers not placed in the location described in the manual and placed on the safe at a eye sore angle. "Not straight" Door has big gaps between folded corners and with no welds. Interior panels loose and not glued to walls. Huge door gap on top of door where there is plenty of room to get a large crowbar in. To heavy and costly to return. The last rep. I spoke with said she would look into it and it's been over 1 month, I have sent multiple emails with no response. See pictures!!!
