I am renting a duplex from them temporarily while my home is being repaired. Someone attempted to break in while I was gone. I contacted Mary, the property manager, and let her know. She put in the work request. Illinois law states that landlords have 72 hours to fix critical repairs, and it's getting onto 72 hours, and I hadn't heard anything. I sent Mary a text telling her that if it wasn't fixed by Monday, I would file a complaint with the state. Being oh so mature and professional, she responded that she was deleting the work request and that I would need to submit it through the "proper channels." " Pretty sure that letting a landlord know about a maintenance request at the phone number provided to me counts as the proper channels. She has also lied several times. For one, she said that the unit would be cleaned before I moved in. If bird poop on the floor, a disgusting oven, spiderwebs all over, a filthy bathroom and kitchen are what she considers clean, I would hate to see her house. She is completely unprofessional and petty.

I was told that a property was available just go ahead and pay the application fee which I did once I paid the application fee, they stopped returning my phone calls and stopped replying to any text message
