The people over at Napleton’s are great! We saw a car that they posted on cars.com that was exactly what we were looking for and they worked with us so well. We are out of state and they were the only dealership I called that offered to first do a virtual appointment so we could see the car before driving 5 hours to get it. They also let us put a deposit to hold it even though they don’t normally allow that for used cars. Elane was our sales person and she was very personable and communicated well. Chris the finance manager made everything go smoothly and was very knowledgeable on all our questions and he did not try to push us to buy an “insurance” in case something happened to the car like lots of dealerships do. I would recommend them for sure!

Huge thank you to the team over at Napleton Palatine Subaru. We had the privilege of working with Miguel and Leo in finance. Both of these gentlemen did an outstanding job in making sure we understood all the documentation and answered any questions we had. We winded up purchasing our first SUV which was a 2018 Hyundai Tucson in White. The car is an absolute beauty inside and out. Came in for an oil change and tire rotation. Specifically told them to do the 5 tire rotation pattern shown in the owner's manual which uses the full size spare. Luckily I marked my tires before I came in because the dealership did not follow the Subaru recommended tire rotation pattern in that they did not cross over the previous front tires to the opposite side on the rear axle.

I got charged $129 for an oil change and a tire rotation that was done wrong. My subaru will ever come to this service department again.

Additionally on my way home I found that my radar detector that I had hard wired to the 12V plug in the glove box wasn’t working. Didn’t take me long to find that the tech had gone into the glove box to disconnect it and left the wires hanging out.

EDIT to add. The tech had also dropped my insurance card and registration out of the glove box and left them and some other glove box contents setting on the floor. they can be seen in the photos that I posted for the wiring issue.

Edit to respond to "the owner". People pay a premium price when they bring their cars to a dealership for maintenance to make sure the work is done right the first time, not to have it just made right later. Jiffy lube "can make it right" for 1/4 the price.

There is definitely a cost for poor quality. If I couldn't trust your shop to do a small ticket, easy, maintenance item correctly, that I could check to see if it was done properly, what could you possibly do that would allow me to trust your shop for the big ticket maintenance items that I can't check myself? Do you expect me to just take their word that the CVT fluid was change right? That the brake fluid was flushed right? Hell, your techs screwed up a tire rotation that you charge twice as much for as other subaru dealers.I will never bring my car to your shop again and I would never buy a new car from a dealership with a service department that I couldn't trust.

Frankly, with all the other options for service in the area, including other subaru dealers only 30 minutes away, I don't know why anyone reading this would use your shop or buy a car from your dealership. Now you know the cost of your poor quality. You should have paid more attention to your poor quality service department and fixed it, but now you will just "have to make it right".
