A little something for everyone.
Craft supplies, cards, clothes, jewelry, antique furniture, fabrics, art! The list goes on. A wonderfully curated collection of random artsy things, some of which are affordable, and some that are high end items. Even if you're not interested in buying anything it's a wonderful place to get inspired.

Pretty cool stuff, love getting little gifts here. Great space. Unfortunately giving two stars due to the seemingly always rude staff. I usually buy a few cards here every month or so and I know there’s a lot of employees but every experience I’ve had makes me wish there was a self checkout so I wouldn’t have to interact with the people at the counter. They always seem annoyed and make passive aggressive remarks. Seems like a pretty chill job, don’t understand the consistent frustration.

Such a wonderland of colors and textures. I love that Hello Good Morning Kids is also now housed within these walls, two for the price of one. Both women curating these collections have impeccable taste and it is a constant feast for the eyes. The perfect gift shopping experience for this season, and exactly how I wanted to spend my own birthday gift to myself. Making an appointment was simple, and I even had the treat of running into old friends. Love love love this place.

Cargo is an eccentric and sprawling shop full of cultural knickknacks and curiosities. You can spend an hour looking around and find yourself amused the entire time by the endless unique and interesting items. The prices are clearly labeled on everything and many items are reasonably priced. Even if you end up leaving without purchasing anything the aesthetic and vibes are worth the visit alone. I definitely recommend checking this gem of a shop out!

Unbelievable! Oh, the treasures you will find. Must see. It’s like walking into a touchable museum. Everything is for sale. So, don’t over look pieces you think are for decoration. They could be yours. Local women own this shop which has been in business for more than 25 years. They travel the world looking for just the right items. Local artists are also featured. Sustainable pieces supporting Sudanese women and their tribal beading practices. These artful wearable pieces support up to 6 people in their homes. Don’t forget the downstairs. So many incredible things to see. This shop is in constant supply of new items as the owners are always traveling so no trip here will ever be the same.
See the kitty. Free pets welcome. This rescue cat found its home. Give yourself time here. You’ll be glad you did. Enjoy!

Sometimes I think I would move to Portland, OR just so I could furnish my home and shop at this store every week. It probably is a good think we don't live there. I simply love to wander in get lost among the beautiful Asian antiques, beautiful fabrics and lush, rich colors. I loaded up on sumi-e paint brushes and hand made papers for art projects I am dreaming of undertaking this year. Add Cargo to you "must visit" list when in Portland!

This should be higher up in the “must see in Portland” list. A very cool very strange tastefully maximalist place full of all sorts of wild things from around the planet! Educational and fascinating to poke around; with some decent deals on really exotic pieces of furniture downstairs.
