I love having a drink at the Cargo Bar when I'm out for a walk in Assiniboine Park. Ice cold Lemon Radler's while sitting on the patio with my mom and little man, who's enjoying a Dog Popsicle (plus they usually have treats handy), makes for a really nice summer day. The little taco hut has some decent finger food if you need a snack, though it isn't always open it. We always seem to have great conversations with other guests, the staff are kind and efficient (which helps when there's a long line), there's plenty of seats to enjoy and lots of games like Giant Jenga, fun.

Lovely setting with plenty of seating. There's a small food truck next to it. Dogs are allowed. No bikes on patio.

Draft Beer is small and $8 after tip is the only reason for a 4.

Cherry cider is delicious! $9 without tip.

Super nice service.

Lots of pokemon go stops at this location.

What a great space, tucked away in Assiniboine Park! They offer so many delicious, local drinks that it becomes hard to choose! For those non-drinkers, there is a selection of locally produced kombucha, lemonade, and non-alcoholic beers. The patio is huge and accommodates small and large groups as well as a space for lawn games. It's pet friendly, and they have their own patio pooch waiting to make friends. Great atmosphere day or night, and apparently it's a happening place for live events.

Grew up rollerblading in Assiniboine Park and now that I'm older there's a lil bar in it, yea!! Build 4 years ago this a great addition to a great park.
They allowed me in with my Rollerblades and did a lil rip around the space. It's dog and bike friendly; dogs must me leashed and well behaved and bikes are just to be parked at the rack on the other side of the fence.
They serve a great selection of local flavors. Did a few samples and decided on their Dead Horse Cherry Cider!
Honestly, this location is a hidden in a favorite location right next to the duck pond. Easily sits 40 to 50 people, some spots have board games and lights are strung up between the trees. They also have two spots for lawn games to bring out some added drinking games. Checked with one of the workers and circular tables open up and turn into fire drums. Told that people like to bring their own blankets to stay cozy in the evenings too. Music is playing to add some nice tunes to the patio and along with the sound of water from the Duck Pond, it's truly a great atmosphere. As well as they have seating on top of the bar for about 8 to 10 people to get a bit of a birds eye view. I am excited to invite and meet up with friends here!!!

Nice atmosphere and pets allowed but 17.50 for a small plastic cup of wine and $10 for lemonade? Plus they charged me for a glass of wine I didn't order. Not sure if it was intentional or not.

Great atmosphere and vibe, but I paid $11.50 + tax and tip for the most uninspired cocktail I have ever had. It was watery, tasteless served in a plastic cup, no garnish, no straw. Save you money and just get a beer, or a coffee.

Mostly leaving this review for the food as I believe it’s tied to Cargo Bar, apologies if I’m wrong. Person serving us was quite rude. Was also very unsanitary. I ordered chips and salsa and he just reached into a bin with his bare hand he used on the payment machine. Salsa serving was also very small. Eat before you come here!

Great place to meet with friend, or just stop in and have a beverage and a snack. Staff are great, kid and pets are welcomed.
