How a business responds to issues, Speaks to the "PROFESSIONALISM" of the establishment and those operating the establishment!!!

I visited Palermo's after a highly recommendation from the front desk host of my hotel I was staying in during my visit. Upon my arrival I was excited from the look of the establishment to the aroma of the Italian meals being prepared that filled the air. I get to the host stand and instantly I get bad attitude from the young hostess that was working the host stand, the manner in which she carried herself from the initial greeting to escorting me to my table. "I had literally just got off the road from a 10hour drive and was determined not to let this young lady ruin my experience". I initially exited out of the restaurant and was about to take my business elsewhere, something told me "to go back in" I went back in and the manager and I think one of the owners (possibly) was right there talking to her trying to see what transpired. I immediately told them how she addressed me from the time I walked in to the escorting of me to my table. They responded with such professionalism and assurance that this was not how they operate or do business (without even saying it). This spoke to the integrity of this business, they didn't deflect the accountability of what took place....They were PROFESSIONAL!! The service from my waiter was impeccable, the food was Impeccable and impressive as well! I had calamari, Tried the pizza and tried the chicken Parmesan!! My total was $101 after my Tip. I am a world traveler and lots of people look at my google reviews as I am a honest Google Reviewer.

To the young lady working the host desk on 02/06/25 Be mindful of your actions and how you Treat individuals, when Great companies like this put you in a position to represent their brand....you represent them wholeheartedly because you are one of many faces that represent who they are as a company. The image you display could be detrimental to everything they've worked hard to build!!

Deep dish pizza review.

It takes about 45 minutes for them to make this style pizza, but it is worth the wait. We ordered 1/2 sausage (home made) and onion. We opted for cheese and fresh garlic on the other half.

Words can not describe how good this pizza was. It was crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. The first bite met every expectation and more. The sauce was fresh and flavorful. The pizza comes out extremely hot, so wait a few minutes so you don't burn the inside of your mouth. I know that it will be hard, but fight the temptation. The sausage was savory. The cheese and garlic was the home run slice.

A small is more than enough for two people unless you want to take away leftovers.

I am looking forward to coming back and trying other menu items.

Great service! The waitress was so friendly. The food was also fairly inexpensive however the quality matches the price. I’ve definitely had better quality; but this is a great family restaurant if you are on a budget.

All I can say is the food is absolutely fabulous. I absolutely love the staff there. It’s always correct even eating in at the restaurant. It’s just a memory in itself. I highly recommend all the food everything about this restaurant. It’s just amazing. Been going here since I was very young, it just brings back so many amazing memories

Want to say don’t go. Paid for experience of life time don’t go. Got pizza got little cheese from side of pizza, canned mushrooms lots peppers and onions.. small amount of sausage and lower grade of sauce and canned mushrooms, low grade of pepperoni . Now I just want to say unless u want beer or jack Daniel’s shot ,no caramel apple martini No martini at all sauce on pizza was sweet .. sadly will not be back. Oh bread hard as brick bat. $12 for one meatball I was told with red sauce. Got med pizza two drinks ,$71.65 blew! Sad and waitress not so good. Told no bartender, no mixer ! Came to Illinois for best pizza around not here and this one little men was working his butt off. You know why the tables are not filled ,there reason. You want water great choice unsweetened tea only. Ik food cost went up but let’s don’t go down on quality. I joined a friend from Illinois… food critic I am. Sadly , I’m so disappointed!! Crazy how they remove your take home pizza off your table and bag it in the back So guess they can spit on it. Idk if I want to share with another friend the left overs. I know this place not going to to Make Chicago best with this going on.

White glove service. You go back in time. Everything was encouraging to spend time and deepening in your conversation with no distractions. Spacious location. Clean white top tables. Staff with very attentive and pleasant. Food was delicious and on point. If I get chance I’ll go back again.

We picked up an order, they were very efficient and the food was hot and delicious. We ordered a pizza, regular crust with sausage and mushrooms and pasta with vodka sauce. The crust was the perfect texture and the toppings were the perfect amount. The pasta was okay, the vodka sauce was fantastic. Just the right amount of spicy and almost a thick creamy tomato sauce. We can’t wait to go back and try the restaurant side!

Absolutely delicious dish… Chicken Remo is wonderfully made with love. Chicken, pasta, veggies superbly presented. I enjoyed with a glass of Pino Noir Meiomi. Excellent lunch that reminds me of simple pleasures in life… are meant to be simple and enjoyable.
