First time in Peoria and this was the pizza shop that we came across, we saw from other reviews how the coupons on the app/website are great deals. We got a 16 in. pizza for $18.00 and it was a great size and we liked how the pieces were cut small and into squares (shown in picture). The quality of the food wasn’t anything to be impressed with and the pizza tasted just “okay”. We ask got the pepperoni rolls and those came out hot and crispy but the flavor itself wasn’t anything to crave or need to come back from. Only 2 other tables were full on a Thursday night and it seemed like most people order for take out.

When it comes to Monical's in Peoria, Illinois, everybody talks about the one up on top of the hill.

However, if I may, instead, let's talk about the one on the corner of Knoxville and Lake.

So you want pizza in a quiet atmosphere that's family friendly and you want awesome stuff to boot, this place has it.

You want the manager and the waiter to treat you like an actual human being, and they actually have a minute or two to talk to you about some things, whether it be your order or not? This place has it.

You got a group of 15 and you just want to take them out to a big dinner and pizza sounds like a great idea this place has room for that in fact the day that I went there was actually three groups large groups of people in there one was celebrating a birthday. This place has that.

As a matter of fact, there's only one other Monical's in Central Illinois that I would put on par with this one, and that's saying something. Everybody brags about the one out of the shops at Grand Prairie. Yeah, yeah , yeah yeah yeah yeah whatever. Yeah, they've got Flash, and they're a newer store, but what they don't have is the ability to go the extra mile and treat you like family. That's the one there on the corner of Knoxville, and Lake does.

Whether you take your 5-year-old here for their birthday or you take your girl here for that first time date or you're taking that special business meeting because you got to land that account, this place does that trust me when I say this you'll be happy you came here instead.

It's pizza. It's a little too pricey for what it is, honestly, but the area is nice and large for a sit-down experience if that's what you're looking for. The front counter worker was really dry and seemed annoyed that we were taking a minute to decide on what to eat since it was our first time. The food did show up surprising quickly, but we were the only customers at that moment.

Excellent pizza and customer service. We didn't have a coupon, BUT the gentleman that was working there gave us one. That saved us over $3.00! That's nice change to see customer service like this.

The staff (all 2 of them) were the friendliest! I felt badly for them though. I only gave service a 3, not because they were bad, but because they didn't have enough help. It took longer to get our pizza because one gal had to do the truck while the other gal ran the kitchen and front of the house. The truck had to be completed by a certain time.
I truly enjoyed talking with these ladies and they did a fabulous job for their situation. They shouldn't be left in a position where they can't service the dining room and kitchen at the same time.
I told them I would definitely be back to see them on my next visit to Peoria.

Normally a pretty decent place to eat when we come to town from NC. Tried to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Totally disappointed in the service and attention to detail this evening. We sat for over 10-15 minutes before the waitress came to speak to us. She decided to speak with customers who came in after us. Got my wife's pizza order wrong, which we kept due the food taking so long to come out. Came back once when giving our bill to us. That's when I was able to ask for a refill on our drinks. Then she gave us the wrong bill. Totally disappointed.
