Let me just tell you straight out flat. This is the kind of restaurants that raises the bar. Prices are great and hence meant for everyone. Service is top notch. I believe workers are happy with their jobs. They smile and they take time to help you decide menu. Desert is grade A but I am mostly flat on the floor by their overall service starting from reception at every leg of the process till you leave the restaurant the bar is raised, be the lady at bar or waiter or chef or cleaners. I bet the owners of a change knows what a restaurant is all about. One of those days when words are not enough.

This was our first dining experience at Antico Posto. The food was amazing! My wife and I both think the shrimp diavolo (linguine) was unlike anything we've tasted anywhere else; it was exceptionally good. The Italian salad was also fresh, and the dressing was perfectly portioned.

I visited Antico Posto during Chicago Restaurant Week, and it instantly became one of my favorite restaurants. From the moment you’re seated, they serve an incredible spread of freshly baked bread and a mix of olives, pickled vegetables, cheese, and olive oil. It was absolutely phenomenal—one of the best complimentary starters I’ve ever had!

While the main dishes are delicious, what truly sets this place apart for me is their chicken meatballs. I had never tasted chicken meatballs better than beef ones before, but Antico Posto changed that. They’re incredibly flavorful, tender, and unlike anything I’ve found elsewhere. Every time I visit, I make sure to order them—it’s a must-try!

This restaurant truly embodies traditional Italian cuisine, with every dish exceeding expectations. However, I personally found the pasta a bit bland for my taste. That being said, you absolutely can’t skip dessert here. The gelato is always delightful, but the affogato is on another level. Even as someone who doesn’t usually drink coffee, I could tell how rich and high-quality their brew was.

Antico Posto is hands down one of my favorite restaurants, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exceptional Italian dining experience!

We came for my dad's birthday- what a special and memorable dinner! We had 4:15 reservations on a Monday, so we were well ahead of the crowd. Our server was Eric (could be Erik/Erick not sure) and he was amazing. Very helpful, very friendly. The bread and giardinara was excellent, we ordered calamari (very good- I've had a lot of calamari and this was noteworthy) and- the star of the evening- the garlic bread focaccia. I want to warn you all, if you get their garlic bread appetizer it's going to ruin garlic bread from any other place. This will be the garlic bread you judge all future garlic bread by. It's a heavy burden, to know you can never top a dish. All of the food was good but dang, that appetizer just was more than I was prepared for. It was nearly a spiritual experience. My folks each had the spaghetti and meatball special, I had the rigatoni with vodka sauce. Both were lovely. They gave my dad a mini chocolate budino with candle, then we split a tiramisu and pistachio Gelato for dessert. Everything exceeded expectations. The only hiccup in the whole meal was during payment- I scanned the QR code on the table to pay for the drinks, but it wasn't reflected on the receipt. I was trying to be sneaky but had to ask Eric if the partial payment went through which spoiled the surprise. Still, it worked out. I guess the QR codes are newer, and it worked in the end!

One of our favorite Italian restaurants in the area. We had the White fish with pistachio crust was 10/10. Also had the spicy rigatoni with chicken 10/10 the flavors were so good. Also indulged in a tiramisu and affogato absolutely loved!

The food was phenomenal along with the amazingly friendly servers that went above and beyond! Special shout out to Christina and Memo! This is the first time I went, and I went for a professional dinner and sampled tiny portions of everything and it was amazing! You really can’t go wrong with any of the dishes here. Definitely gonna go there very soon but my favorite of all the ones listed are the chicken and the gnocchi. All the appetizers were great! Warm, energetic environment! Plus, this is great because it is by all the stores as well. I would recommend visiting!

My wife and I dined here on February 13th and I was pleasantly surprised. Food is very good and plentiful. The service was awesome with the perfect amount of attention. I would highly recommend.

My husband and I were absolutely blown away by our experience at Antico Posto.

As someone who requires a gluten free diet due to Celiac disease, I have never felt more comfortable during a dining experience.

Our server, Tracy, immediately took note of my restriction and provided me with a gluten free menu that had more options than I’d ever expect.

Tracy was very knowledgeable on gluten free options, and she even checked to see if the house made limoncello was safe for me- and it was!

All of my dishes came out with an “allergy” flag, which is highly appreciated. My gluten free entree was even brought out by a manager which was attention to detail that I had never experienced before.

The food was phenomenal, and tasted even better paired with peace of mind. We started off with the beet and avocado salad for an appetizer which was so good. For entrees we ordered bolognese and spicy vodka rigatoni. Everything was so flavorful, we savored every bite. It truly was the perfect dinner paired with a beautiful evening outside on their adorable patio.

If you are someone with dietary restrictions or food allergies, you will be in good hands here.
