GREAT breakfast spot!! Usually a wait but don’t be alarmed, go to their website and you can be added to the waitlist on your drive over, super convenient. We were on the waitlist before we showed up and got seated immediately upon our arrival! We will be going back.

Parking is free and plentiful in the parking lot in front and to the side of the entrance of restaurant at the end of a strip mall.
Restaurant was clean and roomy it was pretty empty but still took a bit to be seated.
Food was pretty good but eggs over medium were over cooked and eggs poached were very under cooked. Potatoes would have been better had the onions not been burned. Mimosas were served as a glass of orange juice and a little single serve bottle of Prosecco.
Prices were average for the area.

The food was very good. The atmosphere was a little loud. The server seemed to not check in with us. He showed up to plop down the bill when we hadn't asked for it and actually wanted to order dessert. We felt we were being very rushed.

A cute yet underrated find in the Oak Brook area. It’s hidden in the mall with all the discount shopping like TJMax and Nordstrom Rack.

The ambiance was cute and bright, the service was lovely and attentive, but the food… wow. Everything is elevated just as they call one of their dishes.

Everything on the menu sounded so delicious, but we opted for some of their specials. The Carne Asada Hash I think it was called, the Parmesan prosciutto toast, blueberry juice, and donut holes.

Wow… the steak in the hash was so tender and flavorful and the prosciutto toast had scrambled eggs on it with a possibly hollandaise sauce? Not sure but it was delicious. Roughly speaking dishes were around $15 something which is comparable to even the most basic breakfast places I’ve been to.

Also as an aside, we didn’t want to drink too much juice so decided to share one. I thought it was sweet that our server decided to split it for us. He was great.

I think I’ve found my new favorite breakfast place and you don’t have to break the bank like some of the breakfast places at the mall… 😘

Located right in the TJ Maxx Plaza right on 22nd St. in Oak Brook. Food was OK but the service was absolutely horrible. It wasn’t very busy and when we sat down, it took 15 minutes for the waitress to even come over and ask us what we wanted to drink. After we ordered the food, the eggs came out completely wrong And she didn’t even come over to ask us if we needed something different. We finally asked another server to help us and replace the eggs. After that again, she didn’t even come over to see if now everything is correct. At the end, the manager gave us five dollars off which I guess was OK but overall horrible service experience but decent food.

First watch is a good place to go if you want typical American brunch. The food is cooked well and tasty. It’s always really busy during brunch time but the wait normally goes by pretty quickly. The pancakes and waffles are both solid and the bowls are flavorful! The hot chocolate is creamy and sweet.
