The groomer Michael is absolutely amazing. He did a wonderful job on my labradoodle who had been traumatized by a groomer at a local vet. She did so good for Michael and he did a fantastic job on her grooming. My girl left there happy and feeling good. I will definitely keep making my appointment with Michael at Petco in Florence Al. It is worth the drive for me.

We were looking for some food to help with GI issues for our Old English Bulldog who has had some tummy issues. The employee who helped us was knowledgeable and friendly and she asked us questions in order to determine what product would be best. Very helpful!

Every single online order I've placed for pickup has been cancelled for not having any/all the items ordered. Literally every pickup order I've placed so the only reason I tried today was for a deal they had on some items I had been interested in trying. Today ended up as one of the most irritating experiences with this store and the lack of actual available inventory displayed online: I noticed Petco had 20% off online orders over $50 and I had $10 worth of rewards to use so placed an order a little before 5pm, waited until after 6pm and called to see if it would be ready today since I had ordered crickets so I would be able to get to the store before closing at 7pm to which they said they could have it done within 15 minutes, which was great news. I got to the store and was told they didn't have the calcium powder or the 2-pack of bag refills (litter genie bag refills were the only reason I even placed an order to begin with) only the singles of bag refills. I declined swapping the calcium and asked if they could swap the 2-pack with 2 of the separately packed refills since they're the same brand and price for two as the 2-pack. The lady said they already cancelled those items and the only way I can get them would be to purchase them separately, but I explained I had used a discount for these items so didn't want them unless I could use the 20% off I got with the rest of my order. She said I could place another order online for that discount for the singles if I wanted so I explained that the discount was only good for orders over $50, which is why I had other items added to the order. She apologized and asked if she should cancel my entire order and me replace the order with two of the single refills they have available and I asked if I would be able to get back and use my rewards I used along with the discount, which she said she didn't know if they would go back since any returns for online items would lose those rewards. After trying to chat with support online and the chat timing out and them getting close to closing, I said we could try it, after the canceled the entire order, she then told me she could ring me up for the order with the discount if it doesn't work... This whole time I could've just purchased two single refills to replace the 2-pack of single refills with the discount and left with 90% of my order, but left with nothing because she was new and the other person working that she kept asking my questions to for answers never stayed nearby for or took over to continue answering questions or offer solutions she clearly didn't have experience with to know or offer initially. After getting back in touch with support chat, my rewards should show back in my account within 24-48 hours and I'm hopeful the sales and discount I used are both still available by then to attempt this order a second time, but this could have been fixed today within a fraction of the time it took to lead to leaving with nothing.
*Edit* Added a star back since I was able to replace my order with the rewards that went back into my account and was able to pick it up without issues this time.
The price and rewards I keep building up are the only reasons I come to Petco along with being the only store that offers a litter I like in a smaller size on occasion. PetSmart costs more but it's starting to feel worth the price to have the convenience of going to the store, picking up my entire order, and leaving without any issues. Any time I have had a question, it was nice to have a manager come by to not only answer the first question, but stay and answer any additional questions or offer other solutions instead of letting new employees simply end with "I don't know."

was in a rush and couldn't talk to the employee or anything they had a-lot of customers and this is a passed away turtle that clearly has been left for a while starting decay. very upset on how they treat their animals i called to make sure they knew about it and they acted like they didn't know what i was talking about

Tank had a dead fish with mold/bacteria growing on it. Most of the fish had ick and did not seem healthy. This is very disappointing considering we decided to give them another chance after seeing a dead gecko last time with toe rot. Employees are also not very nice or considerate. You are not greeted as you walk in. This is just very disappointing.

I ordered a large bag of Pro Plan dog food online to pickup at the Florence location. I let an employee know that i was there for pickup and was asked if i was Door Dash, and I replied that i was not. The employee asked that i go to the register, so i did. I told the cashier that i was there for an online pickup and again was asked if i was Door Dash, ugh. This employee, after looking up my info, led me to the pickup cabinet. She opened the door and spotted my dog food & treats, on the bottom shelve, and said "there ya go," then proceeded to walk off. I pickup at this location frequently, as i have 5 large dogs that go through a 47 lb bag in less than a week. Ive never been treated this way at this location and I never will again! There are plenty of competitors in our area and I'll choose to spend my $100 plus weekly somewhere else!

Nice clean pet store. All of the animals, fish, and other critters seem well taken care of. We got our Betta Fish, Bluey here, and he's almost 3 years old.

Better choices and personnel than other big name brand stores in town. They sell Honest Kitchen here, which is the best in my opinion. The associates always treat us right!
