I have had several mediocre experiences here that others echo in their reviews. BUT some of the staff is so friendly, competent, and efficient that I felt compelled to post positively. The African American worker who served me today deserves Employee of the Month. I think it really depends on the time and day you arrive. Stay away from lunchtime (they are closed from 12:30-1:30), and end of day.

I had a frustrating experience at the USPS location. I arrived just after opening, ready to send a priority package to my friend in Des Moines. Clerk 11 seemed unprepared and answered a call on his Apple Watch as he was “helping” me. His attitude was dismissive, and he even complained, "Well, it’s still early."

As a result, my package took over 24 hours to move from Northfield to Winnetka. Thankfully, I was able to intercept it online and will deliver it myself much faster than the postal service. I expected better customer service and will think twice before using this location again.

It would be nice if there was a functioning PHONE NUMBER for the place! It was 5 o'clock when I started searching online and trying to go through phone books and they close at 5:30. It took me a half an hour and all I got was a number that did not work to the Northfield post office or an 800 number where you have to go through 15 minutes of a menu. I never did get a number before 5:30 so I was unable to contact the post office at all when I needed to.

Not good ever....the Lady at the front desk is always mean she's never polite or personable I've actually seen people get upset with her and walk out. My mom has complained of the same exact thing. When we first moved here and I started going to the post office I couldn't get over it I went to take my package back to look at it to make sure the address was correct and she grabbed my hand in the package and said this is US postal property now you can't have it back. She actually grabbed my hand ! I know these people can't get fired but it's bs. That allows them to treat anyone the way they want just like at the DMV? I should've filed a report I'm just not that kind of person but they need to do something here we don't even go to this post office anymore anyone who gave it five stars clearly works for them or is friends with them I've not talk to anyone who's had a good experience here. Now let's talk about how many times they've lost my mail. I'm calling today three checks didn't make it again that's 6 in 2 months now... terrible system here

Wow...this postal office is by far the Most IMPRESSIVE usps office:

I was there two days in a row simply trying to drop off a box. they close at 5:30 pm:

First day I was there at 5:32, late for 2 mins, their door was just closed but I could see clerks in there, I was hoping someone could see me and open the door, they indeed saw me but nobody gave a xxxx, fine I was late I admit it;
Second day I was there sharp at 5:29 pm (I got off work at 5 and already trying to be early), their office was open and they were still serving a lady, the I was trying to get in the line after the lady but was told in a cold tone that they are not taking any packages. I then asked them nicely that i didn’t arrive late actually, I was here yesterday just trying to drop off, pls pls..... the staff just responded with repeating they r not taking anything...

There is a reason UPS or Fedex take away almost all the customers.
