The crew was incredibly careful with all of her belongings, ensuring everything arrived safely. Their attention to detail and efficiency made the move far less stressful for our whole family. I would highly recommend Federal Companies for any move in Chicago!

Federal was great! The estimate was accurate. The lead mover, Rob, was very professional and friendly. The moving crews were too! There was not a scratch made in either of our homes or on our furniture. Everything arrived safely except for only one glass. Pretty remarkable!! Highly recommend them!!

I had a horrible experience with Federal Companies and Allied Van Lines. Before getting into the negative experience I had, I want to recognize the positive aspects of my awful moving experience. Thank you to the Chicago crew that picked-up my things, thank you to the Allied driver Arnold that delivered my things and was communicative, and thank you to the crew from Hidalgo Movers that unloaded my things.

It took three weeks for my things to get from Chicago to the Denver Metro Area. With how long it took, one would have thought I was moving from abroad. My things were finally delivered nine days after Federal Companies’ estimated delivery period window. Federal Companies consistently blamed this long delay on the holidays. The representative from Federal Companies / Allied Van Lines that put together my estimate in the fall assured me there was availability during the end of the year and the holidays would not be a problem. I would have never booked a move during the holidays had I been truthfully informed about the potential impact the holidays could have on receiving my things. I would have scheduled the move in advance of the holidays or in the new year.

I was assigned a Relocation Coordinator from Federal Companies upon signing the estimate contract document. Once I had paid for the move and the Chicago crew picked-up my things, the Relocation Coordinator stopped answering my outreach asking about delivery updates. I was finally able to get a response from a Federal Companies managerial level person about the status of my delivery. The poor customer service from Federal Companies continued when I had to be the one to reach out and ask for updates on my delivery from the managerial level person. Federal Companies should be providing the customer with regular updates, not the customer having to innate getting an update on the status of the delivery. The unresponsive Relocation Coordinator from Federal Companies finally responded to my outreach well over two weeks later with the canned response email thanking me for using Allied Van Lines / Federal Companies for my move.

My move was not a priority for Federal Companies and Allied Van Lines. I had to pay in full for the move in advance of pick-up, they already had my money so there was no motivation to prioritize my move. I also feel that in being a smaller two-bedroom move, the priority customers are the larger moves. This should not be the case, I too am a paying customer, and paid almost $5,000 for my move. With my delivery being nine days after the estimated delivery period window, I am eligible to make a claim for $100/day via Allied Van Lines. Given the horrible experience, I am sure it will be a long and difficult process to recover those funds from Allied Van Lines.

The Allied Van Lines and Federal Companies employees on the ground actually doing the work; loading and unloading and drivers provided great service. The office / business side of Federal Companies and Allied Van Lines; the representative that put together my estimate, the Relocation Coordinator, and the managerial level person from Federal Companies provided horrible customer service.

I would never recommend anyone to use Federal Companies, Allied Van Lines, or any of their affiliates.

Our move with Allied/Federal Companies was excellent from the very start with Laura and then Christy our move coordinator. We were moving 2 houses and we wanted to load in a certain order and Christy made that happen for us. We needed a lot of help with packing and Luis and Jose came out to both houses several times and gave us a ton of help with packing. Then our driver, Chris, was really excellent! He was very experienced and very helpful when we got to the house we were moving into in that it was the first time seeing the house so we were rather disorganized as to where everything was going. We had way too much stuff but Chris really tried to get everything on the truck for us, even putting some of our stuff in his sleeping area. Chris and his crew helped us out tremendously! The car transport also went very well. All in all, it was a very positive experience and I would definitely recommend Allied for a cross-country move.

Allied Van Lines moved us from Chicago Suburbs to Denver and I was happy with the experience. They arrived on time in both locations while maintaining excellent communication. The driver had many years of experience with moving and very helpful during the process. The moving crews in both locations were kind, professional and handled our belongings with care.

The move team I had at Allied Federal Companies did an outstanding job on my move from Streamwood to Sterling Illinois!
The team was courteous, friendly, worked hard and did everything expect, even went above a beyond in a few cases!
I highly recommend anyone moving to use Federal!
And yes, the cost was also amazing!!

This crew did an amazing job! They arrived early, were polite, friendly and professional. They did a great job of wrapping all of furniture and artwork. They had boxes for the TV and other items that we hadn't packed already.

The company did a great job of estimating the cost and time needed for the move. Other companies quoted us with unrealistic timelines and didn't give prices for the materials they would have to provide during our move (boxes, etc).

It was one of the hottest days of the year here, and they hustled the whole day! I would highly recommend them for any type of move!
