The food was so good and it’s the best Haitian food in Chicago! Thank god for Maggy because there was only one other Haitian restaurant in Chicago before her and it can’t even compete! Staff is wonderful they listen to what you need to order and can compliment the order for you. I had order fried chicken, with diri jojo (rice), pikliz fried plantains and a patty (Pattè). The rice was so rich with flavors and tasted so good I was taken back to my childhood eating at my moms house! Chicken was seasoned and well prepared perfectly wasn’t dry at all, I had sauce on the side but didn’t even really need to use it because of how rich the chicken was prepared! The plantains were fried very well and wasn’t greasy at all just right when I ate it! The pikliz were also good just wished that they were more spicy and tingly since we Haitians know our pikliz should leave a little hot burn in our mouth to assist with the plantains to compensate heat from the pikliz once eaten with the plantains which always makes a great combination. I also ordered a patty morue (Pattè) and it was so good just the rich crunch in flour before biting in while I savor in the perfectly well put together morue fish taste from the patty, so good! Excellent customer service from top to bottom! Please if you haven’t go and check out Haitian Food By Maggy you won’t be disappointed! They have many other options on the menu and even gifted me a sweet dessert that was filled with cream cheese and blueberry flavoring so thankful! Don’t hesitate definitely go get you a true Haitian plate here in Chicago!

This is REALLY good food (PERIOD ) I’ve ordered twice and me , my daughter and my boyfriend love it . It was his first time eating Haitian food and he loved it ! The culinary flavors are there , 100 percent . The plantains are so crispy, golden and well made .griot is DELICIOUS !!! The Tassot is BOMB , but what deserves a standing ovation is the macaroni . I had the beef and chicken ,both are the best I’ve eaten. Love that I could find some piece of my culture in this beautiful city .

I wanted to love it, but I didn't. We don't have any Haitian restaurants in Milwaukee and when I found myself in Chicago with time to spare, I ventured over to get a plate.

It's a food pickup location, so order ahead. I found that out once I arrived. Expect to wait 30 minutes. I ordered griot and white rice with black bean sauce. The griot had a sweetness to it that I'm not used to from any Haitian restaurant in Florida. I tried it with the pikliz, which also tasted sweetened. The rice and bean sauce were good.

I would likely try other Haitian restaurants before going back here, but at least it's an option.

Worst haitian food ever,I'm from Brooklyn ny,I'm in Chicago for couple days . I've ordered Food from this haitian restaurant through under eat. I was really disappointed, the food was not good at all and the presentation was really bad. I paid nearly $80 for two orders and I can't even eat it.
I don't know how people can find this garbage tasty.

This was my 3rd or 4th order through Uber Eats, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. First of all, Uber sent a delivery person who didn’t speak English, making it difficult to receive my order. When I finally got my food, I was let down. The portioning was off—I got a ton of rice and very little meat. If meat is supposed to be the main part of the meal, why give so little of it? If I wanted to pay over $20 for rice and beans, I would have just ordered that.

The plantains also lacked salt. Traditionally, fried plantains are pressed, dipped in salted water, and fried again, but that wasn’t done here. I called the owner to express my disappointment, and although she thanked me for letting her know, nothing more was done. I spent over $60 on this meal, trying to support a local business, but I will not order from them again. It’s a shame we can’t find good Haitian food or have quality Haitian restaurants in Chicago.😒

I'm so glad I tried this place, it is new. Delicious, fresh, and made to order. Easy pickup. The owner was so nice, she answered my call and let me know what was available. I ordered the griot with fried plantains and pikiz, stewed chicken with diri djon djon. Everything was good, especially the fried plantains, they were crispy, perfectly cooked light gold. The griot was cooked just right, flavor was on point!

I ordered rice with black beans and fried Turkey with extra Pikliz. The rice and beans were very good but the meat was sweet 🧐and the Pikliz was outrageous. The cabbage in the pikliz was cut bigger than my head and not spicy not acidic no salt. The food melted the plastic container- BUY BETTER FOOD CONTAINERS that are heat resistant please. As a Haitian, I was disappointed with the Pikliz but I will give them one more chance by ordering again one last time for them to impress me.
