I have always enjoyed going to this location, and it was something of a tradition going with my friends on Wednesday nights during my first degree. From time to time, I will go and enjoy myself. The service will be mostly good, as well as the food and music. However, there have been some cases over the past two years where my order was messed up, or I was blatantly ripped off. The second to last time this happened, I asked for a bowl and they gave me a cup, while still charging me for a bowl. Today, I went in during the busy lunch rush, and the cashier was having some issues understanding why I was ordering what I was ordering. I ordered a half blt sandwich and a bowl of broccoli cheddar soup, and she was under the impression that she either couldn't do this or that it might be cheaper if I bought the whole sandwich. She entered the order, and then came to realization that I might have been right in the first place. She had already entered the order, and it was being prepared, so i kept it as it was. After I ordered a sweet tea with peach, she kept asking something about juice, au jus, or "jews". It was busy and loud, and I didn't catch it. She might be new(er) and misunderstanding happened, or this was a sublte attempt at manipulation or purposeful rip off. Possibly, with some ethnic bias. I applaud many years of good experiences, but I am sending the message to ownership and management that if anything like this happens again, I won't be kind about it after it happens and you will probably permanently lose a customer at this franchise. A former campus pastor's daughter working here is a credit to you, and perhaps some of your younger perosnnel have something to learn from her.

the manager ashley was very rude and dismissive to my questions. I asked her a simple question and after dismissing it and me she sent me out the door muttering under her breath. I don’t know what she said but I saw her mouth moving while i was turning to leave and she didn’t raise her voice for me to hear past a murmur. I felt very uncomfortable and don’t think I will be ever returning due to this situation. it sucks becuase I actually really like mcalisters food. ashley really ruined this place for me entirely.

We ate here on college visit day . At 11 people were waiting outside to get in and we decided to come back and our wait time was reasonable considering the high volume of people on site that day . Time to order and time to food on the table was also very reasonable too . Sweet tea is good . I wish they wouid have had a broth based soup as choice the day we visited it was tomato, broccoli, and another cream based . Everyone’s order was correct and food tasted good

I go here pretty regularly for lunch between classes and the service is always super great and super speedy. However, today it was super busy and it was around 30 minutes before I got my sandwich, I went up to ask how my order was going and the manager lady was so kind and made sure there was a rush on my order. On top of that, she gave me a coupon for a free entree. It was still about 10 more minutes before my food came out and I needed to switch it to a to-go order, still she was so kind and added a free cookie and an extra pickle to the order. Completely unexpected top-tier service!

Staff the day we visited were very friendly and helpful. Were were there at 1:30 on the weekend so there wasn’t a line and our food came quickly. My roll was over toasted and hard but otherwise the food was good as you would expect. Restaurant was nice and clean although many tables started to have dishes on them as people left and no one cleared them.

My boyfriend and I came in today and we were unhappy about the customer service, especially me. We came in and there was 3 workers on the floor just sitting around and on their phones and while we were waiting because one person was ordering food no one else behind the counter thought to go to a screen and help us place our order. We stood there for a few minutes waiting. It was not busy whatso ever. I used to be a server and from what I experienced today, I’m not coming back. It’s said to say that because I am not the one to make comments like these and I NEVER leave a review about a restaurant. And for anyone wondering what location I am talking about it is Normal, IL

Service was extremely slow and disorganized. Between the line and the wait on food it took 45 minutes to get a basic sandwich. They had 1 person taking orders when the line was long, and then once the line cleared they had five employees standing around and chitchatting. I left feedback online and never heard anything back, so not only was the in store service lacking but so is corporate. Food is good but extremely overpriced for what you get.

Pros: Everything I have tried on the menu is EXCELLENT. Good quality, quantity, and overall taste. AWESOME friendly staff!

Cons: Literally the SLOWEST SANDWICH RESTAURANT I have ever been to in my life. Like not average slow but so horrifically slow that THEY SHOULD CONSIDER DOING SOMETHING DIFFERENT. I wrote this review while waiting for my to go order i placed 30 minutes prior. It is now 15 minutes past my pickup time and I’m still waiting. It’s soooooo pathetic that everytime I order ahead, I still have to wait 15-20 minutes for my SANDWICH (it’s not a frickin steak). Staff always provides free snacks/drinks for waiting long but that is only a poor, temporary solution for a problem that has been prevelant for all 3 years I’ve lived here.
