Hutchcraft is wonderful. Julie in the office never was upset with all of my questions. Justin, the driver was amazing. He labeled every item and was so careful with our things. Travis and Ryan, the crew were so helpful. I couldn't be happier with Hutchcraft Van Service!

DO NOT USE!

Broke or seriously damaged the legs on most of the chairs and tables. The large furniture is what I thought would make it. I was so wrong.

I watched two of the loaders throw boxes up onto other boxes to reach unreachable heights in the truck. One box had glass in it as a could hear the items shatter when they did it. Too late to video. Guessing the box had the Haviland China or ceramic cat as those were the only items smashed to bits.

I am sure they will blame my packing however, I had three other sets of china all packed the same way and they are fine.

The gentleman in charge was supposed to stop by never did.

I had to send an email regarding two of the movers. It appears they’re only goal was to throw items in the truck and make it fit. There was no care to what was put on top of what. There were cardboard boxes, which were crushed by plastic tubs. No regard was given to anything marked fragile. I watched boxes being tossed on top of other boxes to get the whole truck packed as quickly as possible. The way I watch things be loaded into the second truck there is no way no matter how well you wrapped anything it would make the trip. I believe the later two’s focus is only on getting boxes in the truck and leaving.

I basically received an I'm sorry and we need your money---

Please let me know if you have any other problems.
Driver is scheduled to pick up your goods on Wednesday.
As a side note, you still need to re e-accept the credit card payment.

The person doing the inventory marked almost every item as badly worn. I did not move "badly worn" cross country. He does the inventory as they are moving items out of your house and then hands it to you at the end of the day and says---read through these 14 pages and sign. No one would catch this. You are moving and beyond tired.

Unfortunately, there is even more to this but I believe I have made my point.

Hutchcraft Van Service did a fantastic move for us with perfect service from my initial call to schedule our move through the completion of their work. Orin Hutchcraft and his team were so very careful and conscientious of protecting our furniture and our home, accommodating our every need, extremely efficient with the best equipment, came in under the estimated cost, which itself was very reasonable, and just as important, everyone in the team was incredibly personable. In the future I will use no one other than Hutchcraft for any type of moves and I highly recommend them to everyone in need. They are the best!

Professional, experienced, efficient and cost effective!! I had a great experience on my recent move across 4 states in January. My driver kept me updated on details and the men assisting him with packing were courteous and careful with my belongings. I used this company on my prior move and will continue using them in the future!!

By far one of the worst experiences. The moving coordinator moved the loading day on the morning the packers were scheduled to come. Packers were supposed to be available for 2 days but only wanted to stay for 1 day. Upshot was that I had to fire the company and delay our move until I could find a more reputable company. The agent that did the in home estimate was completely out of the picture and was not even aware of the changes. As a result you are forced to deal with a "moving coordinator " who you have never meet and couldn't care less about your needs.

I have had two moves so far in the Army. This second move has prompted me to never again put my valuables in the hands of strangers. I don't know what kind of person thinks that packing boxes upside down inside other boxes makes sense, nor what kind of person thinks that OPENED LIQUIDS should be wrapped in the same box and wrapping paper as ELECTRONICS. Those kinds of people work here though. I called Hutchcraft during business hours for accountability or some sort of explanation on this. The first two times I reached a voicemail. The third time I reached Cathy Hutchcraft, who told me she wasn't responsible for the move, and to leave a voicemail with someone who she promised would get back to me when she returned to her desk... which was a week ago now.

I called out of the phone book and was quite surprosed at the quality of service I received from Hutchcraft. I had to cancel my first appointment and they were gracious enough to understand my circumstances and rescheduled. During my move from Chgo to Normal I experienced a delay and they were still able to accomodate me. The two gentlemen, Orin and Alan were curtious, effecient, and treated my belongings with care and respect. I will certanily use this company again in the future and recommend them to anyone looking for excellent service.
