Saturday , the 28th of December
Location : KLM Cargo at JFK
Time : 12pm

Went today to pick up our 21 pieces . We knew from our broker that only 19 pieces came on the 26th of December, but we went today for pick up with the hope that the rest of the shipment would have arrived by today.
Apparently, still our 2 cases haven’t arrived yet but we said to the lady in front , it’s not a big problem.
We will take today the 19pieces and we will come tomorrow again around 6:30pm ( as she wrote me down ) to pick up the remaining 2 items .

The crazy thing is that they demanded in this case to pay them storage fee !!!
However, if we come back tomorrow to pick up all 21 items , we will not be charged for storage fee!!
I pleased the lady to communicate our issue with her supervisor that it’s not our responsibility that part of our cargo has arrived and the rest is delayed.
She came back saying that her boss is negotiating with us 30% discount for the storage fee !!!!!!

Unbelievable!! Business wise there is no logic to it!!!! I would never dare to charge my client for something they are not responsible for !!
On the contrary due to the inconvenience I would offer them discount on the next shipment!!!!!!!

We left the cargo there , it’s keeping them space and we didn’t pay any storage fee, because we ll go back tomorrow to pick it up when the other 2 pieces will come with tomorrow’s flight in the afternoon.

Such cases arise when people are not problem solvers, don’t know anything about customer service and obviously don’t care about the Company they work for !!

Please note that I am talking specifically about this shift,( 12/28/24 ,12pm )because last week at the same office the lady who served us was so professional and helpful.

KLM has a global shipping network and should be aware of those issues. Their staff should be trained to efficiently handle situations like this .

Unorganized. Less than friendly staff. Was it necessary to roll your eyes when I asked for a pen to fill out paperwork? Or laugh at me! I was picking up a dog- a living creature- and there was no sense of concern or urgency. Shame on this service.

Today is saturday May 28,2022 driving a tractor trailers 53ft came to pickup shipment at 9 a.m. and its 1.10pm 5hours here still havent gotten loaded terrible place...Only one forklift was working the morning and at 12pm 3 more should up and ive been getting ignore and smaller box trucks been getting taken care off Never coming back here horrible place plus no bathroom and no vending machines if i can give it a zero i would....

If there was a way to give ZERO STARS I would.. we are instructed that the office is closed. call delta. or send message through their award winning website... not sure what award they would win with such horrible service
