There is an Indian food truck right near the office. I give that 5 stars! It was nice to be able to get dinner right there on the premises. The food truck is open at 9am, so we went back and got another meal for the road.
We stop here every year. It's quiet. The showers are dated, but the water is nice and warm with good water pressure.
I love to visit the goats that live alongside the property.
Lost Hills KOA is always a pleasant stop for us.

We stayed here for one night because there are so few options along this stretch of I-5. Crossing our fingers we pulled in hoping it would be a pleasant place to possibly extend for another day. Well, as soon as we pulled in we knew it was NOT a place we’d be extending our stay at. First impression was definitely not great, and there was a terrible odor outside. We figured out that it is next door to some kind of treatment plant. It was almost unbearable. The odor brought along with it flies galore!!!! GALORE!!! Plus the swimming pool was absolutely disgusting. Only about 1/3 full of water and it was greenish/brownish and nasty!!! All in all if I’d been able to I would have requested a refund and left to find another spot for the night. One night was too long!

My husband and I are traveling to Texas we have a 33ft. Fifth wheel. We had a pull through spot that allowed us to stay connected to our truck. Oddly quiet for being close to the interstate. Definitely will return to it 😊. Easy peasy in and out

We overnight here and greeted by Ruben. Easy check in and he made us feel welcomed right away. Large level spot near the back with good water pressure.

This is our first time here and I think this is a good overnight option on I5 on way to LA.

Next morning Ruben came over to help us with our slide top awning; he graciously helped us for 45mins in the heat and loaned us his ladder and tools to make the repair. Thanks very much Ruben we appreciate you so much!

Great place while traveling to Las Vegas with our horses. Great camp host. Had a nice set of covered pens for our horses to rest.

Great place to stop on your way through, but it’s not a place I’d want to spend my vacation. It’s quite rough around the edges. Spacious for big rigs, though.

Not the nicest of KOAs we've been to but they're always clean and have nice features. Read more:

Edit: To be fair, it's just as good as any other KOA I've been too. It's the desert. It's so hot, so brown, and since I live in the desert, it pales in comparison to say, Avila Beach.

One tiny thing... We booked after hours so we didn't really know what to do without the map/guide, luckily I found the access codes. That kind of thing should be in the KOA app or email so we could take full advantage. I'm going to upgrade my rating because the KOA itself was just fine.

We stayed here last November on our way south. You kind of have to. It's in a real dead zone in the middle of nowhere California along the I-5. Made a reservation some weeks ago. Changed it the week prior and they charged me $13.50 to make the change. This year I have the KOA membership and I paid more for the same site this year than I did last year without the membership. Right before coming here I got a welcome email. The email says the pool is open daily from 10am to 9pm and shows a picture of a beautiful sparkling blue pool. But when you get here the pool is half empty, green, and has a sign on the gate that says it is closed by order of the Kern County Health Dept. So that right there is false advertising. The office was closed when we got here, obviously they can't afford enough staff to keep it open. Place is mostly empty. Lots of permanent residents and rigs in long term storage. They get a dozen daily transient travelers like me who come in and are gone by morning. We needed to use the laundry this year and noticed that it annoyingly requires the use of the Wash Connect app. So now I've got money stuck in the app. You can't just pay with your phone, you have to load money into the app that you can only use on Wash Connect machines. Happened last year when we sadly went to a Thousand Trails park. Used the showers, they were clean. But at some point they were remodeled and either they didn't use licensed contractors or did it themselves, work is not to code. They didn't demo the old floor drains, just laid a new layer of tile on top and then didn't properly install new drain covers. So at some point the water will get under the tiles and make them pop off. Shower handle unmarked and was wobbly. Water did get hot but at 6'4" the nozzle was at my nose. Their 'store' opened after 2pm. Not much in it. The coolers are all unplugged and empty. Probably been that was since the convenience stores went in at neighboring gas stations. Place is mostly clean, the only trash is that which blows in from the truck stop next door. I wanted to buy propane but was told that the 'guy' who can do it wasn't there that day. They have wifi but last time I was here I could not connect to it so I didn't bother trying and just set up the Starlink. We camped at Lost Hills KOA Journey in a Fifth Wheel.
